Nowhere to go but up

Last season we flat out stunk. You have to admit 32-50 is horrible. That is ok because it was not disgusting like the season before it.

This season SI is picking us to be the 13th team in the East. Forth in the Atlantic.


Everyone is down on us and everyone thinks we are horrible. We have 6 players with contract years that want to have a heck of a year. We have nowhere to go but up now guys.

The Nets got most likely worse. 76ers Lost their PG. Raptors didn't get too much out of the off season (besides one guy). The only improved team is the Celtics. I don't see how we can't get second in our division.


It will be hard to not win 33 games this year. If we don't win 33 games this year though we won't be signing any big free agents this off season. Remember that 45 win thread? Well, 40 wins isn't too far off. The east got worse in the off season with RJ going west along with other good good players.

The Celtics improved. The Cavs improved. The Magic might have improved. Atlanta got worse IMO by adding Crawford. Bobcats dealt Okafor. Washington did improve but its hard not to improve with 19 wins. Miami was pretty even. Bucks, worse. Pacers, worse. Bulls worse, much worse. Pistons, worse. Philly, NJ, worse.

I see the east going this way..

True, but the only way we'll get in the 40+ win range is if we take advantage of these worser teams. Its really all on the Knicks. We've shown that we could compete (and sometimes win) against the top tier teams, but also lose to the shittiest teams. So really its a matter of consistency. Not losing 30 point leads, as well as not losing by 30 points.

Made good points but we will never beat the 76ers without an allstar on this team. They just have our number and are one of the most athletic teams in the NBA and their transition kills us. And Andre Iguadola is a knick killer.

At best we get third in the atlantic division. I just don't see us being better than Philly this year..but with a top free agent signing next year i def think we will be top 2.

Hopefully Elton Brand can make Philly worse, which he proved to do last year, and we can slip in and get on some hot streak.

I love an ambitious Knick fan... But come on. Every one of these teams bar Detroit has 2 things we don't.

1. Real star power.

2. Interior defense.

Anyone who thinks Gallo is all that @ this stage is crazy. Lee & N8 are as close as we have to stars really. And that's not a good thing for a team hunting playoffs.

We're still gonna get chewed up by penetration this year. The Nets...The ****ing Nets!!!!!! Got to the basket at will against us.

And as far as other teams improving, it's not like trades are the only facet of an improving team. There are heaps of young players out there that are inflating their games.

Atlanta - Horford (Beast), Pachulia even J Smooth has room to improve.
Toronto - Turkoglu!!! Bargnani has massive potential & Jarret Jack.
New York - TD, Hill, Darko
Chicago - Rose and Noah are a future beast tandem. Deng is back.
Miami - No big improvements, but DWade is still incredible.
