Two F.A. in 2010

Two PF/C with similar styles

Lee wants 10, 12M ...

How much would you pay for Scola ???

Scola + Bosh would be a good match ???

Thoughts ...

Scola+Bosh would be terrible because we'd get dominated in the paint

We need a big time center that can block shots and actually contest shots from guys like Andrew Bogut and Dwight Howard and so on. Scola is not that. Bosh is not that. Lee is not that.

If we got Scola + Bosh it'd be no different from having Bosh + Lee - we'd score a ton of points, but at the expense of getting crapped on by any team with a half-legit center

I'd keep Lee. He's not our problem. Yes his defense isn't great, but few players these days are. He has IMO tremendous upside and is a team player. He worked on his offense this offseason and look what he did. Hopefully someone can help him with his defense this offseason, and next year play him in position and see what happens...Would he do a 2 year contract so we can see?

A 2 year contract would not be fair and I doubt Lee would accept it. This one year contract proved to be good for him as well but generally speaking, short term contracts are two risky for a player of Lee's calibre. As a professional athlete you have to make as much money as possible in a short time. You always have to take a career ending injury into consideration. Therefore I expect Lee to go for a long-term contract in order to create a more secure income.

Nope........

Not unless somebody restores Shaq to his former self and we resign him, Lebron James and his missing twin.

Scola's a really good player, let alone affordable, but we're looking to push forward not only in our front court but all round.

I agree....too small in the paint....
We need someone like Chandler or even Kaman....
I would also like to see Nocioni with NY uniform, he's a great hustler and that's what we need, not only superstars but also somebody who doesn't care to throw himself om the ground for a loose ball....:gony:

They are different players....Scola game is that midrange mostly. He does fit D'Antoni's system however. I think unless you get a low post beast to replace Lee it hurts the team.

If D'Antoni's is the coach of the future we should stop thinking about D and go all in on Offense i think.......he doesn't knwo how to use defensive players.

Unless we replace Lee with a true center, then no.

Scola is a nice hustle guy, even shot 20-25 in a game a few weeks ago (which no one has done in the past 10 years except Shaq in 2000) but I think Lee is more skilled all around.
