Carmelo to Knicks!!! Likely not happening...for now

For all those fans who want to go all out to add Melo to this Knick roster
have not learned anything from our past two seasons of failure.
Hint: if we were really going after Lebron James we wouldve drafted C-Brook Lopez/PG-Jennings/and use our MLE for the best availble SG. We had PF-David Lee who the Cavs wanted. We were not suppose to invest in any SF like Harrington and Gallo, when going after Lebron.

The Knicks preseason performance showed the Knicks need a Starter at SG and Center, plus a backup rebounder at PF before thinking about adding Melo.

This Knick roster need SG-Rudy Fernandez to be in our starting lineup to
mesh with starters PG-Felton/SF-Chandler/PF-Amare.
We also need a starting center added to our roster before the start of the regular season. Rookie C-Mosgov & SG-Fields are decent backups to come off the bench with PG-Douglas/SF-Gallo.
We have to use a 9+man rotation for all 82 games.
We shouldve gave Lee a $66M to $72M contract with incentives and a no trade clause, b/c Turiaf/Randolph/and Azu are all injured players its the only excuse I could give for the 3 players performance in the preseason games.

Lets look at FACTS .........
Carmelo Anthony is not going to resign with the Knicks when the
Knicks spends alot to only have a "Amare & Melo" lineup vs the East
Elite competition of contenders .... Bulls/Heat/Magic/Celtics

Kiya. You're main FACT is the one that really is totally FALSE.

Melo would most assuredly sign with us. We are the team he would.

I agree w all the players you want to get, or wish we would have gotten.

But we can't worry too much about complimentary player when we have a superstar in our midst. Get him for the best price, then start plugging in holes. The respect and legitimacy of bringing in Melo to the garden would be monstrous.

Also, I'd think you'd be more gungho about Melo deal when it'd likely be centered around Gallo and AR.

You do know what the meaning of Fact is right? Let make it clear. Your opinion is not a fact. Hindsight is always 20/20. You can't keep whining about past picks in which a lot of other teams made far worse errors. It clear you still haven't let the whole Lebron debacle go, but he was never gonna let Dwade and Bosh have all the fun without him.

If you really think resigning David Lee would have helped anything but destroy our cap flexibility, you're really :smokin:

Another good post. It's sad how Knick fans keep getting fooled, year after year.

Donnie Walsh and Mike D'Anphony are phonies, and they will be exposed for the 3rd consecutive time this year. Hopefully this is Walsh and D'Antoni's last year with the Knicks, so that the team can start winning again.

I don't mine this at all, the longer they hold onto Mello the less their going to get because they will either settle for what they can get now from the few teams he'll agree to sign extentions with or they can wait untill their at the trade deadline and then get what they can get foe Mello.... witch won't be very much imo because he'll have one foot out the door by then.
