The best player that fits our team is...

Markutis

Benchwarmer
Andrea Bargani, he's built for our team and system

Now seriously. Bargnani is a superb shooter but he does not rebound even if sorrounded by midgets, is a terrible defender and has a strong allergy to the paint. Are you sure he's what we need? Oh, and he'd be the second best contract on our roster. He's obviously overpaid.

idk rebounding can be worked on and its more heart than skill... and he has good size maybe its jus that his team is playing bad or that he doesnt box out - lack of effort... but we can influence and teach him on that point

MSGhobo247

Rotation player
Carmelo Anthony

He can score from anywhere... he rebounds... he's an underrated passer and defender. Then you fill in the gaps with rif raf cause we'll have enough offense after that.

He just got hurt (Anderson V).....we need a big that stays out of foul trouble, and doesn't make driving to the rim so easy

He's on the right track though, considering the system. If we want to move Amare to PF, we still need spacing in D'Antoni's system. Not just any rebounder/shot-blocker will do. Dalembert has been suggested, but I doubt D'Antoni would even start him.

We definitely need size/rebounding/defense but they also need to be able to hit the outside shot. Think Rasheed Wallace 5 years ago. That is the perfect center for this team/system. Who would fit that mold today? Brad Miller maybe. Actually, Andre Blatche would be perfect if he wasn't such a jackass.

**** that spacing the floor, 3 point shooting bullshit when talking about centers. Guys like that at that position are SOFT. We need a banger inside. Someone who scraps, blocks shots, rebounds, and eats raw chicken and eggs for breakfast.

Fundamentally Sound
is.........................

Bargnani!!

Sry guys but that dude at 7'0'' can score the basketball, shoot the three and is a really good athelete. He's kinda heady too, in a subtle way. He knows what he's doing out there. Think he's gettn around twenty one and six this year on average.

Put him w what we have now and we'd be absolutely unstoppable offensively.

He would be the best fit , not the best player.

Or,

I'd say Paul, but obviously we have Felton so that's not in keeping w the thread premise.

So yea Bargnani..:peace:
