All for it. Any woman that can compete at the NBA level and is better than the next guy should absolutely be allowed on the team. There's no reason not to have women play if they've got enough game.

ok then

but i dont think any woman will handle 82 games especially 4 games in 5 nights unless that woman will be some1 like Serena Williams.

I have to disagree. The women have their own league, she is projected as the #1 pick in the WNBA so she should play there not be a freak sideshow for Mark Cuban.

I've only seen some YouTube videos of her but I don't think she's good enough to play in the NBA. It's one thing to dominate girls that are 5 inches shorter and weigh about 150 pounds but try that against NBA players. Compounding her problem is she is a front court player so she gets to play against the biggest and strongest guys in the NBA. If any women has a chance it would have to be as a 3 pt specialist like Novak not a 6'8" woman that has 18 weak dunks in her college career.

Listen if she can't play, she can't play. But she should have as much a shot as anyone to try out. The WNBA is a woman's league but the NBA isn't a men's league. The NBA is the top basketball league in the world for all althetes, male or female. It just happens that there's never been a woman good enough (or given a chance) to make it to the NBA

Not true, Ann Meyers of UCLA tried out for the Pacers in 1979. Meyers got smoked in her tryout with the Pacers and the results will be the same or worse with Griner because she plays inside. Cuban just being Cuban running his mouth and I haven't heard Griner's 2 cents on whether she wants to play in the NBA or if she thinks she can.

Luisa Harris and Denise Long were also women that were selected in the NBA draft but never tried out.

FIBA shouldn't allow to make it happen. We had a similar case in football a while ago, if I remember correctly there was a Mexican woman wanting to play for a proffesional men's club. Moreover, she even signed a contract. However, the FIFA ruled that the division between men and women should be mainted and as a result she wasn't allowed to participate in a men's competition. The ruling wasn't about the question if a woman can be as tough and physical as a man, but one of the ideas behind it was to forcome possible suits for sexual harassment on the pitch. Another things is, most men wouldn't pay some hard earned $$$ to watch women playing together with men. Women's football doesn't attract much of a crowd for a reason.

I read where Griner said she's committed to going to the WNBA and is ruling out the NBA summer league. But she wouldn't mind exploring trying out for the Mavs, her attitude is nothing ventured, nothing gained.
