Just in Case...

Just in case the knicks dont sign a big time player like Rasheed, Dampier, Crawford or Camby who do you think they should go for. I can think of 5-6 good ones off the top of my head what do you think.

1. Michael Doleac- Decent player, a likeable player in New York. Soft hands, and shooting touch, not much of a defensive speacialist but can draw the occasional charge.
2. Kareem Rush- An unsung hero in the playoffs for the lakers. He hit like 4 threes against the T wolves to put them away.
3. Stephen Jackson- Averaged 24 points in the second half of the year. He is starting to prove himself in the NBA, although he does remind me of Antoine Walker the way he jacks up shots, and a bit cocky, not my first choice if I were Isiah.
4. Bob Sura- Started really playing well with the hawks at the end of the year almost got 3 straight triple doubles in a row. A bit undersized for the shooting gaurd spot but if you give him daylight he can hit.
5. Antonio Mcdyess- Started to show people he could still play in Phoenix, he can still hit the open jumper, not sure about the leaping ability but I think he has some unfinished business in New York and he might want to come back.
6. Stromile Swift- Extremely good shot blocker, very athletic, great dunker (imagine marbury throwing alley oops to Stro) undersized for center position but makes up for it in length of arms. Needs to build a little more in my opinion.

These are some candidates who could sign for half the MLE or something small like that, this is only if we can't get the big time players.

most of those players are good and they dont really cost that much so that wouldent be a bad fit for the knicks. i like Stromile Swift i would try to get him first. he as a good all around game

Out of that list, I'd have to pick Stromile Swift. He could bring the defense to the Knicks, that they so badly need.

you know what i like Bob Sura as a back up PG if he can convert to that position. he is not that bad and if he comes off the bench marbury can get a good rest in most games.

I wouldnt mind Bob Sura coming in since he is a combo gaurd so he won't take away minutes from Frank.

bob will be a better back up PG than and back up SG because we got got anderson. i know anderson sucks but hes better than bob in a way

doleac is amazing, he was tearing it up last year, ok he wasnt tearing it up, but i thought he was a great bench center cuz his mid range shot was great and he always hustled, they could and should get him for cheap, cept i dont think isiah wants him, hes looking for more "athletic" players, except this isnt a good strategy in my mind

Bob sura and Shandon Anderson don't even compare. Remember Bob Sura almost got three triple doubles in a row.... Anderson might have had 7 turnovers 3 games in a row and thats about it.

lol yea but anderson can play good defence. bob sura cant cant play D that goood

Shandon Anersons Defense is extremely overrated, and Im not gonna even talk about his shot, I think I can make more jumpers than him

if doleac was soo good he would not have been traded. he did have some good shots but he cant play defence.

isiah wanted to get more "athletic" players, so he got nazr, who is def worse than doleac, and also van horn was playing really well with marbury and yet he was traded for a worse player in thomas
