there was a kingdom called New York. It was a well colonised place with many well meaning folk but alas something was wrong in New York, it had been in mourning since the loss of its great leader King Patrick of Ewing.
Many potential succesors' had tried to earn the right to sit on his throne but alas none where worthy, at one time even a court jester by the name of Starbury son of Marbury was allowed to undertake the necessary tasks, the less said about this time though, the better.
Then one day a giant from the west appeared in the media forest of New York and he spoke of how he was the man who would lead New York back to the days of yore where there had been much rejoicing.
Having spoken to the god's of New York Sir Amar'e of Stoudemire was indeed chosen to lead the people of New York into a golden new era but it was not a quest he could undertake alone.
Amar'e spoke of an experienced knight also from the west called Sir Chauncey of Billups. Sir Chauncey had made quite the name for himself for his giant killing exploits in the strange dark land of Detroit and Amar'e saw him as the man he wanted to lead his armies into battle.
On his way to New York Sir Chauncey encountered a lost soul and the lost soul joined him on his journey east.
On arrival at the palace there was a warm welcome, not like the ridiculous party that ensued in another land not so far away which we will speak of later where they believed they had already succeeded in their quest before taking a single step.
No this was more of an optimism that these three men were capable of bringing prosperity to the land of New York.
The lost soul it seems was the fabled Sir Carmelo of Anthony, a young boy when first he was forced to leave New York the god's had smiled on him and led him back home. "He's home" the people proclaimed, "tell the world he's home".
So now to the place I spoke of earlier, the strange and deluded land of Miami. Their gods had also spoken and they had heard of a kingdom in trouble where the throne was about to be abdicated. They sent forth their messengers to promise this once king untold wealth and a new kingdom to rule over, he accepted gleefully and his talents were taken to the village of South Beach.
Meanwhile in South Beach, the king of Miami, King Dywane of Wade had agreed to abdicate his throne for the arrival of this mysterious figure from Cleveland. Many of his people told him this was a strange decision and one he would regret but the king had made up his mind.
The god's of Miami felt that there was not enough laughter in Miami and so they decided to recruit Sir Chris of Bosh as their court jester. Sir Chris was overjoyed at the chance to relocate to the warmer climbs of South Beach and became the Larry to the previously recruited Curly and Moe.
The prophecy foretells of a great battle that will take place between these two and the word "playoffs" is recurrent in said prophecy, what the future holds however, none of us can know.
