By When this season begins it will be one worth remembering for Knick fans everywhere. For the first time since the 2001 season, the brilliant media has deemed the Knicks contenders. Usually such attention isn’t worth a hoot, after all these people are paid to say what they think. However, for the New York media to expect the Knicks to contend, it has to mean something. After all, there are no more overly critical writers in the world than in NYC, so their hope is encouraging.

51-31 for this year

Instead of putting too much stock in records, we should be more concerned on how this team comes together. Talent-wise, and playing in Atlantic this team souhld make the playoffs. Whether we get some home court advantage and make some noise in the playoffs comes down to a few variables...

1. Houston's health
2. Jamal's fitting in the system and improvement
3. Sweetney's developement
4. Tim Thomas taking the next step
5. Team Defense

If we get most of these things to happen positivly, this will be a year to remember. With that said, I`ll predict 49 wins, with this team gelling sometime in December!!!
