New York Knicks small forward Carmelo Anthony is expected to play against the Detroit Pistons Saturday despite suffering from back pain following Friday?s win over the Washington Wizards.
Anthony scored the go-ahead 3-pointer with 15 seconds remaining in the game and finished with 37 points in the 99-96 win. He was injured with about three minutes left in the game and will be reassessed after the team lands in Detroit.Anthony is averaging 29.1 points per game this season.
