NEW YORK, Oct. 16 (Ticker) -- Allan Houston continues to sit and Jamal Crawford continues to score.
Crawford scored 25 points in three quarters as the New York Knicks grabbed control early and cruised to a 98-84 preseason victory over the San Antonio Spurs.

Crawford was acquired from Chicago in a sign-and-trade deal this summer, receiving a seven-year, $56 million contract. He scored 19 points in Thursday's preseason opener and is making a bid to win the starting shooting guard spot from Houston, who is recovering from offseason knee surgery.

I really like what I'm seeing in these past two games. They have turned into a fast-break team, which is a good way to beat taller teams. Hopefully after the midseason, they can figure out a way to get a true center in the mix via trade. Then the Knicks are definately up there with Miami, Detroit, and Indy.
