Ok, so this made little sense to me then and certainley does now

The Nets traded the number 6 pick in a deep draft for Gerald Wallace who will opt out.

If both Deron Williams and Wallace walk they have traded two top 3 picks and a number 6 for literally nothing when they arrive in Brooklyn.

They lack the chips to land Dwight unless Orlando simply trades for cap relief which if that was the way they are gonna go why not keep him this year for the sake of selling tickets and jerseys and then let him walk next off season.

one more thing....isn't it funny that the league owned Hornets landed the number 1

I mean and Stern couldn't just give us the number 1 the year of Derrick Rose to get our rebuilding started!

The NBA draft lottery system sucks, too many times does the team with the worst record not get the top pick. In 2002 the Houston Rockets who would have picked 5th if it were record based managed to win the top pick.

The lottery is enough of a crap shoot with picking the best player without penalizing a team like Charlotte who clearly were the worst team in the league by taking away their chance to pick first.
