Recent meetings
November 14, 2013In an old fashion-type shootout, New York fell short as the Houston Rockets outlasted the Knicks 109-106 at Madison Square Garden. Carmelo Anthony led the way with 45 points-the most ever scored by a Knick versus the Houston Rockets- and 10 rebounds over 44 minutes for a doubledouble. Andrea Bargnani posted 24 points on 9-12 shooting over 33 minutes. J.R. Smith added 15 points, eight rebounds and four assists over 39 minutes. Houston was paced by James Hardens 36 points and nine rebounds over 42 minutes. Chandler Parsons recorded 22 points and Jeremy Lin off the bench added 21 points.
December 17, 2012Without the services of Carmelo Anthony (sprained left foot), Amar’s Stoudemire (left knee debridement), Iman Shumpert (torn ACL and meniscus), Rasheed Wallace (sore left foot) and Marcus Camby (sore left foot), Houston took advantage of New York’s injuries as they took complete control of the game and handed the Knicks their first loss of the season in the Garden defeating New York 109-96 at the Garden. New York was led by Chris Copeland’s career high 29 points on 11-19 shooting, five rebounds and two steals over 28 minutes. J.R. Smith posted 17 points on 7-13 from the field. Pablo Prigioni and Raymond Felton each added 14 points. Houston was lead by James Harden’s 28 points and 10 rebounds over 38 minutes. Good One Rady :gony:

We're an 11.5 point underdog so let's be real. It's gonna be a very tough game for The Knicks, but we have a mindset of champions after yesterdays BIG WIN in San Antonio. If we play with the same intensity and don't run out of gas in the second half, anything can happen. Let's go Knicks :gony:

every win is a big one for the knicks...BUT... the knicks do better against the spurs type of team...slow and deliberate... Houston more run n gun, with young legs... tougher game... then on to dallas where they should compete...

Our bench needs to score tonight for us to win this game....no 15 pts from the bench....last time we played them we were home and lost by 3. They are a better home team unlike us. I think it will be a close game. Did Chandler play last time

Yeah, this is my fear, that we only beat the Spurs because they didn't push after our biggest weaknesses (except maybe going after Udrih who may be the worst defensive guard in the league). We can win this game, but Houston has a much better chance to just run us off the court than the Spurs did.

This Back to Back Texas road trip will rely on Mike Woodson running a 10 man rotation, and not adding any bullshiiii restriction to PF Amare & PF K-Mart.

This WIN in Houston tonight will depend mostly on "ISO-Melo & JRsmith" ball movement throughout the first 3 quarters .. like last night JR shocked the Knicks fans nation with a performance of looking for the open-man, only taking 1 shot before the 4th qtr.. Im so used to JR shooting 3-13 before the start of the 4th qtr..

Melo having 4 assist in the 3rd qrt., plus hustling for the lose balls lastnight was ..... will Melo repeat that performance tonight???

The Shump & Murry tandem in the backcourt are something we should build on.

I too saw something with these 2 playing together....maybe it wasn't just a 1 night thing. Lets hope Woody saw it too, and will play them together a bit tonight. I believe Hardaway would excell against these guys also. A couple of easy fast break points by THJ would be nice
