New York Knicks vs Dallas Mavericks 2/24/2014 7:30PM

Not sure how many of us are left to try to stomach this stretch against tougher teams after having collapse after collapse against poor teams. We're now down MWP and Beno without any able bodies to replace them on the bench yet, so this gives Woodson even more of an excuse to stick with his time-tested, piss-poor rotation strategies that ensure no gas in the tank when the 4th quarter comes around. Tough to watch a team, regardless of record, that you know at best is going to limp to the finish in crunch time.

Amare starting tonight for the first time since April 2012. About time he gets a chance back in the starting lineup. Hopefully, he also gets a chance to log more minutes overall. Worst case scenario he gets hurt again, who cares, best case scenario is he plays well and accumulates some increased value for the offseason.

This starting 5 has no idea how to play together, but you can tell they want to figure it out. C'mon, Woodson, please don't put JR prematurely into the game, we're only down 2.

Stat is starting but I don't think it's going to make a difference. We match up better size wise with him in there but he's going to have to bring it on both ends against Dirk.

Woodson not listening .... Stat & Pablo go out, and JR & THJ replace them .. what bout Jeremy Tyler getting 20 minutes tonight

Well, that wasn't a very good 1st quarter at all.

It's not pretty, but I got to say that JR is busting his ass to try to setup his teammates. I just wish we had some kind of strategy to make the process seem a little less random in its results. If only we had a coach who could draw up even basic plays.

This team is hopeless. Dallas wide open looks, getting anything they want and how many turnovers already? This is going to be a rout.

The Mavs (HC Rick Carlylse) have 12 players playing on the same page .. Dalembert got a long career winning record vs the Knicks.
Funny how we beat the Mavs the last time letting Beno/Murry/Shump win the game while JR concentrated on untying Marion

Dallas been playing small-ball in the 2nd qtr. Dirk@center & Marion@PF

Dallas can't be happy that it took a buzzer beating 3 to put them up by 1 at the half. They probably know that we will fall apart in the 4th, no matter what we do, thanks to our crap rotations, but still, they have to feel ashamed of themselves.

Melo again carrying us, 28 points barely halfway through the 3rd quarter. Good thing he has infinite endurance and won't be the least bit tired in the 4th quarter with the game on the line.

Melo has played 33 minutes through 3 quarters. Nice job, Woodson, no really. I bet we totally won't fall apart in the 4th quarter for the 20th consecutive time. Melo with 36 points in 3 quarters, he continues to carry this sorry team, but you just can't play one guy into the ground like this.

This game tonight, what an effort to tie it up and then possibly the worst play of all-time on our final possession, followed by Dallas playing the same iso ball, but getting the unbelievably lucky bounce, to put the nail in our coffin. You can't make this stuff up, but it just keeps happening.

As long as we make this count next year when the recipe of tanking has the chance to produce the highest reward, then no biggie I guess. We won't need to do any game preparation for the other team. Simply show next year's team all of our losses and duplicate them to precision.
