March 5, 2004Knicks outscore Raptors 38-20 in the game?s final 17:15 for a 109-103 win at Toronto, snapping a six-game road losing streak. Stephon Marbury scores 35 points and Nazr Mohammed adds 20 points and 18 rebounds.

November 3, 2013New York fell behind fast and early as they were dealt a 40-19 deficit after the first quarter and things stayed the same the rest of the way as the Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the New York Knicks 109-100 at the Garden. Carmelo Anthony paced the Knicks with 22 points and 17 rebounds over 44 minutes. Andrea Bargnani posted 14 points and three rebounds over 19 minutes. Iman Shumpert added 12 points. Kevin Love led the Wolves with 34 points and 15 rebounds over 41 minutes. Kevin Martin recorded 30 points on 9-12 shooting over 36 minutes. Nikola Pekovic added 11 points and 12 rebounds over 41 minutes.
February 8, 2013Carmelo Anthony led the charge in the final quarter as he went on to score 12 points in the period to help the Knicks overcome a 11-point deficit in the final seven minutes as they defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves 100-94 on a Friday night showdown at the Target Center. Carmelo Anthony led the way with a team high 36 point and nine rebounds over 40 minutes. J.R. Smith came off the bench to record 15 points, eight rebounds and four assists over 35 minutes. Raymond Felton, Steve Novak and Amar?e Stoudemire all chipped in 11 points apiece. Minnesota was paced by Ricky Rubio?s 18 points, 11 assists and two rebounds over 39 minutes. Nikola Pekovic recorded 16 points and 11 rebounds over 36 minutes in a losing effort. Luke Ridnour added 20 points. The New York Knicks after leading 52-45 at the half managed only 18 points in the third period, which put them behind 76-70 with 12 minutes to play. The Knicks rallied behind Carmelo Anthony, whose 12 fourth quarter points helped sparked a 24-7 run the close out the game and the New York Knicks squeaked out a 100-94 road victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Target Center.

I can't stay away from this team, even if it may be the worst team, compared to my expectations, that I have supported in a very, very long time. Everything is wrong with this team right now, literally, every thing from top to bottom. Twolves probably going to hand us our head while we have to hear about how we'll pursue Love next offseason (pipe dream right now, why would anyone come here), but whatever, let's go Knicks!

We're off to a hot start, but man, if you are a fan of building to the future, then this is not the game for you. Lineup of Chandler, Melo, Stat, JR Smith, and Felton logging heavy minutes in the 1st quarter.

Also, we continue to make just baffling defensive lapses, but that's not exactly a newsflash.

Neither team executing at all now in the first quarter. Looks like a playground game. We're winning by double digits because we have a couple guys who have been knocking down some shots while the Twolves just look flat so far.

Melo already with 13 points with still a minute and a half left to go in the 1st quarter. The real question is though, why is Melo playing the entire first quarter when we're winning by double digits. When's the last time we haven't looked exhausted and been outplayed in the 4th quarter?

We pretty much dominated that 1st quarter, leading 38-24, but if you think we can sustain this effort for 3 more quarters with how much Woodson continues to overplay our main rotation guys, you must know something that I don't.

Veteran lineup of Chandler, Melo, Stat, JR Smith, and Felton continues to thrive against this Twolves squad. Lead back up to as much as 17, but still, our execution continues to teeter-tooter between divine and disgusting from one play to the next.

Can't complain too much about the offense with 66 points in the 1st half, but man, defensive lapse after defensive lapse capped off by allowing a 90 foot pass for an easy two to close out the half. Will 11 points be enough of a lead when our guys start deflating in the 2nd half because of terrible minutes management? Well, based on the last month, no, absolutely not.

Amazing what happens when Melo gets some help:) balanced scoring by all Feltip actually showed well for once...his personal problems obviously bothering him a whole lot; nice win for our boys to get off the snide... Gift be darn near perfect down the stretch here to keep our slim playoff hopes alive:) you get in and it's a whole new season!!

Felton has a good game (few and very far between), Knicks win. coincidence? not.

Really our good guard play along with balanced attack across the rotation is more evidence of our success than any 1-2 individuals trying to gunsling. The pulse of our team has been this way since Linsanity and isn't tied to what Melo provides. It also doesn't help to play against teams who put on one of their worst performances contrary to how they usually play...Kevin Love was a disaster yesterday and I mean an absolute disaster.

Nevertheless the game yesterday was the ultimate tease, we're gonna go right back to reality very quickly.

After the trade deadline ....
the Washington Wizards are 7-1 (without Nene)
the Brooklyn Nets are 6-2
the Toronto Rapters are 6-2
and the Knicks are 1-7 (with Melo/JR)

Put on the thinking-cap, and do the math

Our next ten games could create some fool's gold. There is one game with Indiana The rest, 2 with Philadelphia, 2 with Cleveland, and 1 each with Utah, Boston, Milwaukee, the Lakers and Sacramento. Could we possibly go 9 and 1? The final 10 games are tougher. Two each with Brooklyn and Toronto and 1 each with Miami, Chicago, Phoenix, Golden State, Washington and Utah.

This where you lose all credibility. Knicks win and it's "in-spite" of Melo's 33 and Love played bad instead of Feltip and the rest of the crew finally showed up in support. You can't have it both ways 3GduMe aka one shot. If you criticize, you also have to be able to give credit as well. bTw how are your Orange doing these days??? Melo>Innis:)

Carmelo been averaging 65 games a season the past 6 years, how many games will Melo play this season being 5 games out of the playoff race? having 59 games played, and 20 games left in the season?

When we are completly out of the playoff race ..
The games Melo dont play will Woodson coach to win? or will Woodson keep coaching to TANK the season?

It's amazing the Knicks still have a chance to make the playoffs. The Hawks don't look like they'll keep that 8 seed, too many injuries and they are playing bad.

So that 8 seed can be had, probably by Cleveland, but the Knicks can sneak in there if they can get hot. Cleveland has a similar schedule to the Knicks except the easy part of their schedule comes at the end of the season.
