Losers of five of six games, the Knicks are in dire need of getting some of their players off the trainer's table and back on the court.
Yesterday, the player they need back the most took a significant step toward returning to action as Jamal Crawford practiced for the first time since he went on the injured list three weeks ago with turf toe.

"I felt pretty good," Crawford said. "No pain or anything."

There is a chance Crawford could play either tomorrow in Chicago or against the Bulls Monday afternoon at the Garden in a home-and-home series.

"It's a possibility. Physically, I felt fine today," Crawford said. "I still didn't scrimmage or anything, but that's the next step."
