This rumor stuff is crazy-crazy ...

NBA Rumors – New York Knicks Are Not Going to Trade Carmelo Anthony to the Phoenix Suns

The New York Knicks and Carmelo Anthony are in it for the long ride, or at least for one more season. Any rumors about trades involving the All-Star will hit a dead end eventually; it’s going to be at least one more season before this starts making sense.

Zach Lowe is great at telling a story of why something happened or happens, but he isn’t very good at predicting the future based on what he sees. The fact that Markieff Morris is unsettled at Phoenix and the Suns would like to trade him has nothing to do with Anthony, and it’s hard to see what assets the Suns could give the Knicks they’d be happy with, while it’s hard to see anyone around the league, at least right now, giving up half a team for Anthony and his massive deal.

And the Knicks, who were in full tanking mode last season, aren’t too terrible anymore, at least on paper. The additions of Robin Lopez, Arron Afflalo, Derrick Williams and Kyle O’Quinn should make them more respectable and who knows, maybe even a playoff team. Anthony having a no-trade clause helps us determine that it’s not going to be this season that he’s moved.

However, if this season the Knicks, once again built offensively around Anthony, don’t show any signs of progress or heading in the right direction, the noise around Anthony and Phil Jackson regarding a trade and finding a new focal point for this franchise, which isn’t going to win a championship anyway while Anthony is their biggest star.

I agree that this is just a nonsense click-bait article. I do think the time will come when in the next couple years trading Melo will be a more realistic possible, assuming he stays healthy. If I had to guess, Dallas and Houston are the two most likely teams who would want to trade for someone like Melo and for whom Melo would waive a no-trade clause, but that's just speculation. I think he would also be willing to go to a couple other teams, but doubt that those types of teams would have the assets or desire to go after him.

Going to be very tough to trade Melo because of his no-trade clause and the size of his contract. If he doesn't want to go he can veto the trade, even if he wants to go the size of his contract makes it difficult. The only thing that may change is when the cap explodes and if he's playing well his contract may seem like a relative bargain in a couple of years.

The Knicks success this year depends on him, if he wants to be traded you can bet the Knicks are having a sh**ty year.

The Knicks has been receiving great success the past 9 years by selling-out 36 or more home games out of their 41 home games per season. A lot of winning teams don't have 9 years of success at selling-out over half their home games like the losing Knicks.

The James Dolan Knicks organization has been winner$$$ .. the Knicks coach, players, and fans has been losers.
The Knicks organization didn't do so well last season on receiving money $$$ from the major net-work$

If a lot of fans and business companies don't buy into the knicks 2015-16 season ticket buyers by the start of the regular season .. then Carmelo better start the season off winning more games than losses
If the season ticket buyers decrease from the past 3 seasons, and the Knicks start the season off 8-18 ..
Dolan will have Phil Jackson trade Melo asap in the regular season. Remember this is a BUSINESS!

This is as relevant as a Lebron James to NY article because he is a free agent every off season with 1 year contracts. I really don't buy this rumor AS OF RIGHT NOW.

The season can easily take a turn for the worst as we have seen with the Knicks. One must go into a season with very low expectations or else YOU WILL be disappointed.

If Melo is trade then he has the right to go wherever he wishes with his trade clause

Melo is a big market guy so he won't go to a Phoenix or Sacramento...ever.

So I see him more in LA or Miami. Even Dallas is not attractive. I think he once commented on Houston and said "Houston isn't New York"

The real question is if anyone would take his contract and if we would even get he right pieces back for him (multiple 1st round picks)
