Simmons still has 4 years 145 million left on his contract. Maybe was the most overrated player in the league until he got exposed in the playoffs. Philly should have to package picks with him to move his contract. No way any team should offer a big package for him, but I guess some team will. Hopefully, not us.
Sixers will be looking for draft picks and not trading any of theirs away. Rumor mill has him going to SAC or POR, two underperforming teams that might take a chance that a flawed 3 time AS can change their fortunes. Hield and Bagley or McCollum for Simmons?

76ers president Daryl Morey said he wouldn’t trade Ben Simmons… then offered Simmons to the Rockets for James Harden. After Philadelphia lost in the second round of the playoffs, 76ers coach Doc Rivers said he didn’t know whether Simmons could be the point guard on a championship team.
Now, Simmons is threatening to hold out until traded.
Apparently, Simmons’ camp blames those comments from Morey and Rivers for the situation devolving.

The Philadelphia 76ers will not get fair trade value for Ben Simmons, and he does not care.
Keep in mind, Simmons has averaged a 16-8-8 for his career and finished second in Defensive Player of the Year voting last season. He was an All-NBA player in 2020. He is an asset for a 50-win team and could make Philadelphia a serious title contender if he remained committed to extending his range beyond 8 feet.
That is as close to a win-win situation as either side is going to find, only Simmons does not want to report to training camp, partly because Sixers coach Doc Rivers told the truth about not knowing whether the 25-year-old could be the point guard for a championship team. That is a universal truth Simmons refuses to accept, even as the trade market for his services reflects how many teams agree with Rivers' assessment.
I recall the season when Rondo won his NBA championship ring in Boston, under coach Doc Rivers, when every NBA fan was doubting Rondo's raw talent as a starter PG throughout the regular season having the BIG-3 scorers. However, Rondo and assistant coach Thibs defensive strategy got all the praise for the Boston Celtics post season victories.

Not a done deal yet, Mavs don't have a roster spot available for him and they supposedly want to bring in Dragic. Maybe he only gets a short term deal through training camp and he turns it down for a better deal in Europe.
Not a great fit for him in DAL with a limited role there but he will get to be coached by Kidd.

Saw that the Mavs may sign him to a Exhibit 10 contract which is essentially a training camp invite that can convert to a 2 way G League deal or a non guaranteed minimum deal. Mavs have their allotted 2 two way players so the likelihood is he gets a short term minimum deal.
Wow! Five Ex-Knicks players having three things on Mavs they didn't have in N.Y..
1) a winning team owner (Cuban)
2) a winning head coach (Jason Kidd)
3) a win-win leadership teammate (Luka Doncic) ..
After looking over the Mavs Guard roster for next season .. Franks performance will become a defensive asset to Kidd, and Luka in the rotation.
Mavs have 14 guaranteed contracts and a 1 partially guaranteed one so he's going to have to win his job in training camp. Read that he's a long shot to win a spot in training camp but at least he's got a shot. Good luck to him.
I believe the Mavs gave Frank a 2 yr min contract, the 2nd yr not guaranteed.
Four yrs ago, the Mavs coach Carlise hired a french coach to his staff believing the Mavs were gonna get Frank in the 2017 Draft. Frank wasted 4 yrs on the Knicks mismanage operation of two GM change, and 4 different head coaches .. Truth Be Said !!!
Donovan Mitchell NBA career are happy he was selected at 13th in the 2017 draft.
So far I see 5 championship challenging teams in the western conference after the offseason moves .. Lakers, Clippers, Suns, Jazz, and GS Warriors.
I didn't forget the Lilards-Blazers or Jokic-Nuggets, but the Luka's Mavs should be happy just challenging the Ja Morrant's Grizz, Zion's Pelicans, and Fox Kings for the 8th seed in the West !!!

Dallas indeed might be the ideal spot for Frank, playing next to Hookah Doncic he will not be under pressure too score, he can cover for him on defense and the threes he is going to get in the corner will be of the wide-open kind. He might surprise a few people.
The Dallas Mavs steady ball-movement are the right place for Frank.
Doncic's meshing leadership plus dynamic passing-skills will help Frank improve his talent in so many areas.
Well, us Knicks fans has to worry bout how to win having a starter lineup of ISO-Players, who stink on the defensive end of the court:
PG- Iso-Kemba (career avg 5 ast)
SG- Iso Barrett (inconsistent)
SF- Iso Fournier (scorer only)
PF- Iso Randle (it's a mystery what type of season Randle may have ???)

PHI withholding Ben Simmons 8.25M salary installment due Friday because of his boycott of training camp. There will be no reconciliation between the parties, I’d expect a major deal before the start of the season, latest rumor was the Clippers could snag him to counter the Lakers off season moves.
It look like Ben Simmons are gonna accept all the Fines Philly throw at him, until a trade.
And Philly is gonna start the season without their star quarter back, and wait 5 to 20 games into the regular season hoping to find a better trade bargain for the 76ers team.
I was hoping the Knicks offseason moves would've kept the Knicks a .500 team in the 2021-22 season.
But, the moves Leon Rose & Perry made in the offseason has me skeptical of the Knicks season.
