Wall misses a game tying 3 and the Lakers give the Wiz their 1st loss 102-99. Critical play was the Wiz not only not being able to foul with the score at 100-99 but allowing the Lakers to score on a dunk after going the length of the court off their in bound. Great game by the young Lakers, Lonzo had 10 assists but was only 2-11. It will be interesting if he gets included in the ROY competition with not being able to shoot the ball, he certainly is a playmaker that contributes a lot of points for the Lakers.

Victor Oladipo exploded yet again during a 114-96 loss to the Thunder on Wednesday, making 11-of-18 from the field for a season-high 35 points with five rebounds, one steal, two blocks and five 3-pointers.

He's basically been a offensive superstar, posting a 30.2 usage rate and a 64.2 TS% while running at a 105.9 pace in his 31.6 minutes per game.

Maybe Indy made a good trade afterall?
Oladipo might actually be underpaid with the contracts they've been handing out lately. Didn't get the max from his extension I think. He was playing well for OKC but you have to do that deal of Sabonis and him for PG. OKC needs to keep PG from leaving in FA obviously.

Lakers Wiz went to OT on an Ingram miss on his drive but he gets the tip in to tie it 92-92. Lakers could have won this but Randall missed a point blank layup and Lonzo got blocked at the rim. Randall and Lonzo did make up for their misses with Lonzo assisting for a Randall 3.

Wow .. tonight games look like we wont get a win from any of last season Lottery Teams .. Lakers/Nets/Philly/Sac/and Tyson Chandler's (leadership) Phoenix Suns .. That's coach Horn problems !!!

Just saw the box score for the Nets Cavs game, both teams attempted 81 3s with the Nets taking 45. That has to be some kind of record. Nets didn't even play Russell and beat the Cavs.

Mavs get the win last night. DSJ goes for 19 points and 5 assists in a little less than 30 minutes. Hits 8 of 12 shots from the floor. Good game for him.

With Dallas winning, Bulls and Knicks are only 2 winless teams left in the NBA.

The Nets are actually competitive and somewhat exciting to watch and have been since Atkins/Marks took over. They have the best offense in the league(in output category PPG), they play hard every night although they lack in overall talent. Taking all those 3s is disgusting though, as they also allow a league high in OPP PPG.

Their bench is averaging 50 pts a game. With that kind of production they should make the playoffs if Atkinson can get them playing defense. Lot of young athletes on that squad, I think they can play better D. Demarre also looks like the player he was in ATL.

I desperately hope the Nets make the playoffs and that Boston ends up with a mid to late 1st round pick instead of a lottery pick.

Bulls beat ATL 91-86 leaving the Knicks as the only team w/o a win. Hornacek immediately goes to the top of queue for next coach fired, if we were losing close games he would have a better chance of keeping his job but we have a -15.6 point differential, 2nd worst in the NBA. The worst differential, the Suns and they already fired their coach.

Bulls will be getting rid one of Portis or Mirotic, Markannen really looks good and with that bad blood between Portis and Miro one of them has to go. I think it will be Miro, he's more redundant to Markannen than Portis.

We the only one ...without a win!
Horn poor-poor development of the young players throughout last season had a lot to do with KP missing the final meeting.
My words at the end of last season were FIRE Hornacek and Rambis !!!

ESPN has a story saying that Hornacek is coaching for his job tonight. I don't believe it, because I'm starting to believe Hornacek remains as our head coach to ensure the full blown tank this season. Although, if they did fire Hornacek and put Rambis back in as interim head coach, that might make Mills and Perry even more comfortable with the tank.

If we actually wanted to pursue a head coach who could turn the ship around, who is out there? I like Kiya's idea of Mark Jackson, if only because he would come in and immediately shake things up. David Blatt is back coaching in Europe, I guess, but not sure he is a good fit for NYC. JVG is a pipe dream.

If only we had hired Thibs...

I agree with you that from a basketball standpoint it makes more sense to trade Mirotic, but, I think Portis will be the one to go. Mirotic can't be traded until mid-January because he signed his contract this last offseason.

Markannen does look good and just think if Lavine and Dunn were healthy? Never liked the Bulls giving Mirotic that contract to begin with but Portis may have to be the one moved although the better long term fit.

Jerian Grant is performing better than all our guards and has equal real time production value as Derrick Rose

Hornacek is on a short leash. Everytime I see a video of the Knicks Mills and Perry are standing there observing. They were up in Boston and didn't have seats so they were standing watching the game. Firing him tonight is a stretch but sometime this season highly likely.

Like htr10 pointed out they can't trade Miro until Jan. 15 but the Bulls may have no choice but to trade him because he said he wants out of Chicago and it makes sense for the Bulls with Markannen coming along so well. I was reading that Jaylen Rose said he heard that Mirotec instigated the incident with Portis, not to say Portis had a right to break his jaw but he may not be blameless here.

Messy situation but one of them has to go.

Nikola Mirotic is not ready to let bygones be bygones, telling the Chicago Bulls that he would welcome a trade if the team decides to keep Bobby Portis, according to multiple reports.
Mirotic suffered a concussion and facial fractures when he was punched by Portis during a practice altercation Oct. 17. Portis was suspended eight games.Nikola Mirotic is sidelined with a concussion and facial fractures after a fight with teammate Bobby Portis. Patrick Gorski-USA TODAY SportsAccording to the reports, Mirotic's team has told the Bulls that they would waive his no-trade clause and leave Chicago rather than stay with Portis. The 26-year-old Mirotic signed a two-year, $27 million contract before the season. After the fight, the Bulls initially said that they were waiting for Mirotic's concussion symptoms to subside before doctors could ascertain if he needed surgery for his other injuries. Coach Fred Hoiberg said that Mirotic was not cleared from the concussion protocol when he visited a specialist Wednesday. But vice president of basketball operations John Paxson said Friday that Mirotic was cleared for light physical activity like riding a bike.Paxson said that the team is sympathetic to Mirotic's plight but would have to do what's best for the organization. He added that they would take Mirotic's lead when it comes to communicating with teammates.Portis apologized publicly Oct. 21 and said he had reached out to Mirotic but had not heard back."I'm wrong for what I did," Portis said. "I want to publicly apologize to Niko. I feel like I let my fans, the Bulls organization and, most importantly, my teammates down. This is not who Bobby Portis is."In three seasons, Mirotic has averaged 10.8 points and 5.3 rebounds per game as a stretch power forward.Portis, 22, was a first-round draft pick in 2015 who has averaged 6.9 points and 5.0 rebounds per game over two seasons.
