How good are the Bucks. Watched that Bucks Wiz game and they scored 151 with Giannis out of the lineup. Set a club record with 88 pts in the 1st half, on track for a 70 win season and could tie or break the Warriors record of 73 wins. Steve Novak who does the Bucks broadcast was going over their stats and it was ridiculous, best net rating by about 5 pts over the next closest team, most pts scored, best fg%. 3 best defensive rated players in Gianni, BLo and Divencenzo.

They're deep with starting caliber 5s in the Lopez brothers. Middleton a bona fide star, putting up a career 51 against the Wiz, Bledsoe a solid 2 way player. George Hill a knock down 3 pt shooter that could still start in the NBA. Korver goes without saying about his 3 pt shooting. I thought the Lakers would win it this year but now I'm not so sure the Bucks don't, absolutely dominating the EC. If they dominate in the EC finals, we may have another EC champion despite all the talk about what the LA teams did in the off season.

Zion is really an incredible guy. Goes from looking like he can barely run to returning to being a dominant player at the hoop in like a week.

Kristaps Porzingis went off for a season-high 38 points in a 112-103 win over the Pacers on Monday.

It looks like the rest against the Hawks on Feb. 1 paid off with Porzingis scoring a combined 73 points over his last two games. He was 10-of-20 from the field and a perfect 12-of-12 from the line tonight, adding 12 rebounds, one steal and six triples in 36 minutes. Porzingis' per-minute numbers are way up when he plays center, so his fantasy arrow is pointing straight up apart from the occasional maintenance days. He'll get the Grizzlies next on Wednesday as the Mavs look to grab their third straight win.

(Rotoworld)

Porzingis recorded his second straight 35-point, 10-rebound performance, which is more than he had in his entire two-plus seasons with the Knicks.

Porzingis has turned into a volume 3-point shooter this season, launching 6.5 per game, and it was even more of a focus for him against the Pacers. He knocked down three triples in the first quarter alone, and went on to shoot 6-of-13 from downtown, which tied a career-high.

Many of them were from well beyond the 3-point line, continuing a trend which has seen Porzingis become one of the most prolific deep 3-point shooters in the league. He takes 5.2 shots per game from 25-plus feet, which is 18th in the league, and the only other true big man ahead of him is Karl-Anthony Towns. Porzingis only makes 33 percent of those attempts, but just by nature of taking them, he creates so much space for the Mavericks' offense.

In the six games that Doncic has missed this season, including Monday night's contest, Porzingis is averaging 27.1 points and 13.1 rebounds, while shooting 48.2 percent from the field and 38.2 percent from 3. Of course, it's with much higher usage, but all of those numbers are well above his regular-season averages.

Furthermore, for the season, the Mavericks have a plus-4.4 net rating when Doncic and Porzingis are on the court together, and a plus-9.4 net rating with just Porzingis. That's largely a factor of the offense holding steady in Porzingis-only minutes, and the defense being much better.

There are all sorts of variables here, and it would take immense amounts of research to go back into the film and catalog the lineups for the Mavericks in these scenarios and the lineups for other teams. And this is obviously not presented to suggest that they're better without Doncic; that's absurd.

However, it is a positive indicator that Porzingis has been able to handle running the show by himself, which is a great sign for the Mavericks, and he proved it again on Monday night.

Interesting trivia I just read online. Bradley Beal is averaging 28.8 points per game which is the most points per game averaged by an NBA player who was snubbed for the All-Star Game ever.

Marvin Williams ex-Hornet signs with the Bucks after being bought out by the Hornets, he’s a 15 yr. vet. Looks like this years Bucks are like the dynasty Warriors, where everyone wanted to sign to win their rings before retiring. Bucks added to their already formidable depth with Williams, probably the deepest team in the NBA now.

The Raps probably have the least depth now but that hasn’t stopped them from putting together a 15 game win streak, the longest winning streak of any Canadian sports team ever. I mentioned Anounoby last year as a guy that would fill in for Kawhi and he’s been important in that starting lineup and their success without Kawhi.

TWolves beat the Clips without DLo who sat out the game on the bench but they didn't need him scoring 81 first half pts beating the franchise record of 74. DLo plays the next game in TOR and the Wolves repeat beating the old franchise record of 74 again scoring 75 pts in the half.

This is what a well run franchise does, TWolves had a 13 game losing streak coming into the Clips game partly because of poor shooting efficiency ranking near the bottom in fg and 3 pt %. What does the new Pres of BBall operations Rosas do, he pulls off 2 blockbuster trades to bring in more shooting to surround their franchise C KAT with more shooting. We hope Rose can do the same for the Knicks and address the Knicks issues. The jury is obviously still out on the TWolvs but this roster makeover looks promising, esp the new backcourt of DLo and Malik Beasley.

Not to be picky, but did you refer to the Wolves as a well run franchise? I think they?ve been a terribly run franchise.

Thibodeau turned them into a playoff team and they ousted him after being a little under 0.500 halfway through the next season. Since then, they?ve been a joke just like us despite having a lot more talent.

They?re 16 and 36 this season and now have 60 million a year invested in KAT and Russell for the next 3 seasons. I don?t like Wiggins, but he was averaging 22 points a game on 44% from the floor for them. I?m not sure Russell equates to any more wins than Wiggins did.

We will see but the new President of BBall Operations Gerson Rosas was a well respected member of the Rockets staff under Daryl Morey and was only appointed President in MN July last year and shouldn?t bear the blame for the past history of the woeful TWolves.

It?s only been 2 games but the transformation of the team is striking so far, they had a problem scoring and he addressed it with a couple of blockbuster trades. They also brought in Alan Crabbe for his shooting and James Johnson for the same plus the vet leadership and toughness.

We both complain about a do nothing front office like the Knicks and when they do make a major move seem to get the short end of the stick. This doesn?t seem the case with MN, Rosas seems to be a deal maker. They interviewed him after the trades and he said credit should go to his staff for working so hard in pulling these deals off. I give Rosas credit because Wiggins contract was supposed to be untradeable and Dieng?s difficult but he managed to unload both.

That?s fair. I think Minny needs more to compete in the West. Wiggins plus top 3 protected lottery pick (or unprotected in 2022) is worth more to me than Russell, but only time will really tell.

Last night ... The 76ers held onto a 8 pt lead throughout the remaining 3 minutes of the game for the win over Clippers (110-103). Nice game, it even had a little heated shoving match of Embiid vs ex-Knicks Morris (13 pts). Simmons 26 pts, 12 rb, 10 ast, all-around performance does not need a 3-ball shot added, Simmons creative ball-movement are spectacular leading the Point.

The Small-Ball Houston Rockets held onto a 8 point lead throughout the remaining 8 minute of the final quarter for a win over the Boston Celtricks last night 116-105. Westbrook's (36 pts, 10 rbs, 5 ast) has a first-step & above the rim performance that made Jalen Brown & Walker look useless on defense. And Tucker's Defense & Ball-Hustle put a lock on Tatum & Walker scoring

The Hawks traded the Mavs Luka Dončić. The Knicks traded the Mavs Kristaps Porzingis and Tim Hardaway Jr. The Mavs are about to win their 33rd game. The Hawks and Knicks have 32 wins... combined!

Man, Timmy and Mook would?ve been nice, compared to the alternative.

Zion Williamson made 11-of-19 from the field for a career-high 32 points with six rebounds, one assist, one block and three turnovers in 31 minutes during a 123-118 loss to the Thunder on Thursday.

Make it two straight games Zion has set his career-high scoring mark with 31 coming on Tuesday to put him in some elite company, joining just LeBron James, Devin Booker and Luka Doncic as teenagers with consecutive 30-point games. Williamson is the first rookie in 35 years to record eight 20-point games in the first 10 games of his career. Prior to tonight, Zion leads the NBA in second chance points per game (5.2) and third in paint points per game (15.1). He's also making his free throws now, and he's showing some limitless upside on offense. He's must-see TV right now.

Too bad Knicks had third pick... Zion and JA are no doubt about it stars.

Will Zion stay healthy?

I know RJ won?t bust bc of effort... he?ll put in the work... let?s hope there?s a high ceiling for the kid.

RJ happen to be drafted by an organization where everything need fixing from management, coaching, to all 5 position on the court!

Memphis Grizz has been a winning (.500+) organization for the past decade.
Grizz coach Taylor Jenkins let the creative athletic rookie Ja Morant perform at his natural-position calling-shots at the point.

New Orleans Pelicans has been a Win-Win organization from hiring head-coaches that last throughout their 4 yr contract.
Pelican's coach Gentry takes advantage of all his players on the roster best skills and natural-position.

Super-Big Difference .. The Knicks organization has been having big-problem in their management and coaching dept., only visiting the playoff 3 times in the past two decades. Plus the Knicks has always had a very poor rookie program, from management/coaching-staff never investing interest in the growth of the Knicks rookies. In the past 5 Knicks seasons the Knicks had 5 head-coaches!
Plus, If Ja Morrant were a Knick, Morrant would have went nuts and became injured when coach Fizdale announce using Randle as the point-forward before training-camp.
The Dolan's Knicks organization could be describe best as a billion-dollar money laundry organization !!!

Easily best dunk contest since 1988 (Dominique vs MJ)!

AG had five 50-point dunks and dunked over 7?5? Taco... and lost! And Jones Jr was just as good.

And they nailed dunks on first attempt. None of that 5 attempt crap.

Wow! I didn?t expect that.

Not to mention Buddy Heild bests Booker on his final, buzzer-beating three....
