now its said that ai wants out of philly unless they build a real team.would a trio of pg marbury; sg iverson; sf crawford be to small ? to much ball hogs ? or a nice scoring trio? me personally i think it wouldn't work but hey a guy can dream. then we can get jamal maglorie move nazr to pf. lol .

Most definitely wouldnt work. Marbury is 6'2, Iverson is 6'0 and Crawford is 6'5. its way too small. were small as it....BUT on the other hand it would work perfect for the rumored future coach Jackson's Triangle Offense. Undecisive but who would the 76ers want? It wouldnt work size wise, nor will it probably happen....on the in favor for it side, who else as good as AI could we get this offseason??? nobody.

With that said I think Philly will listen to what AI has to say and build a better team. Not saying theyll do it just for the sake of him. BUT they were already on the verge of trading for either the duo of Joe Smith and Keith Van Horn or Latrell Spreewell or possibly the tandem of all three. but unlikely all three possible seeing both trades do evolve around Glen Robinson...

The idea is very exciting, but yes, it would maybe work on offense, but in defense, we defenitely would have too much problem, how could we rebound?
AI to N.Y, that would be fabulous, but do not make this lineup,Marbury and AI together would be marvellous, not with jamal, trade him.

It's hard to compare the NBA type of game with the international one. Steph and allen are more NBA players type where athletisism, one on one count more. Moreover, during the olympics, they didn't have enough time to be prepared. We can't compare the two, look at D wade, Stoudemire, James...they played a minor role in the olympics!
In the NBA, AI and Steph could be a hell of a backcourt!

Getting into statistics, you mentioned the question of how would we get rebounds. Stephon averages 3 rpg...Iverson averages around 4....Crawford averages about 3 and most importantly...Tim Thomas averages ONLY 3...seeing are current starting SF equals the same amount as his replacement in Crawford there would be NO difference there.

Iverson stated earlier he doesnt want to move away from Philly and wants to finish up his career there. It wouldnt have been good for us unless we traded maybe Craw & another for Iverson. But in all actuality thatd be going in the total opposite of where we want to be headed. Younger, Cheaper players.

yes, but at least, TT has the size, how craw would defend on Stoja, melo, Lewis...(Ok, TT doesn't put too much energy on defense, so...)

Yeah, Iverson shut down the rumors...

The only way we get AI, is to give up Marbury. If Billy King gave us Iverson, and that's what most these posts are assuming, they'd never find enough of his remains to fill a paper bag, cause he be real dead. Why would you put Crawford at SF, where's Ariza?? I think Crawford has more upside than Marbury. Crawford is 24, Marburyis 29. Crawford has shown that he is willing to play within the offense, Marbury has not.
