Kanter posted his campaign announcement on Twitter to ?make Knicks great again.?

The good news about this signing is twofold:

1- It prohibits us from signing anybody of significance. We can?t eat into next year much more.

2- It allows NY to go over cap next you to retain our own free agent. So, if we sign a max guy... we have the liberty to go over cap to extend both KP and Kanter, I believe. Kanter young enough and good enough at what he does to give us that option to round out roster next year.

Helps he?s a leader as well... with all these youngsters.

I must give Kanter his big-props for the 2017-18 season for having a double-double Knick season, plus helping KP finally look like a NBA offensive player. Now, its up to management to get nice with Noah to help PROJECT Tired-KP on the defensive-end of the court to win Knicks games !!!

I do understand having a no-defensive-minded Carmelo Anthony on the court for 40 minute a night at the PF position for KP first two season in the NBA, has made KP clueless on what to do on the defensive end of the court as big man in the NBA, plus it made KP worthless to have on the court in the 4th quarter !!!

The Knicks having a offensive-center in Kanter, plus having a defensive-center in Noah .. one would expect the Knicks to at least have a .500 season having Kanters scoring n Noah's defensive-leadership, especially when both centers combine salary equal to $37M yearly.

Kanter was serious about waiting until the last day, last minute, last second to make his decision. He knows it's a business and he's hoping the Bucks will renounce Jabari or make a trade to be able to sign him.

He's so childish, can't wait until he's no longer a Knick

Lakers got screwed. The refused to surrender assets... especially Ball... in a deal with Indy for PG3... they just assumed he would come to LA... return home... in a year as a free agent.

BOOM!

Not happening. Lakers didn?t even get a meeting... wow. And now LeBron doesn?t want to play with Ball.

Just shows you get the player when you can.

They can still sign Cousins and LeBron and trade for KW tho.

If what Mills-Perry said is true about what's to come getting players like Hezonja to come here this summer would be a stronger tell tell sign of what 2019 will be like

Ball's knee is jacked up right now, has to undergo arthroscopic knee surgery and Cousins is spoken of "potentially" re-signing with the Pelicans tonight. There were also a couple reports Lebron was txting Durant to join him in L.A. but Durant is wrapping up a 1-1 tonight with GSW and Kawhi might be getting cold feet being traded to L.A. with the possible Lebron Drama

It could be, it very well could be as hard it is for some in the basketball community to realize no one wants to deal with that clown Lebron. He probably should go back to Miami if he can't trick his way off to Philly on the next come-up team

Kyrie gave courage to the rest of the league to stop thinking you have to do what Lebron and Durant did

Trevor Ariza, Suns agree on 1-yr, $15M deal
Trevor Ariza has agreed to a one-year, $15 million deal with the Phoenix Suns.
Well, that is a mighty blow to the Rockets as Ariza opts to cash in for one season. The Suns getting Ariza on a one-year deal won't hurt them much as they look to make a major splash next year with some bad money coming off the books. This is also interesting for guys like T.J. Warren, who could be on the block with this news. Ariza could be at risk for some DNP-REST if the Suns struggle again this season

PG3 definitely said NO THANKS, to LeBron. KW doesn?t appear to be forcing the issue. Melo didn?t even want LJ... got to love it.

I hope we get to see LeBron and LaVarr together. They deserve one another.

Interesting

Once again deals like this are why I said Knicks have to prove now that 2019 will be something of promise. Mavs, Suns, Pacers, Bucks, teams of lesser stature by market and in some cases just as bad if not worse are doing it

Lots of activity the first day of FA after option decision day. Big names like CP3, KD, PG staying with their old teams. Ariza is a loss for the Rox and they'll probably lose Mbah-Moute as well, Rox better hope Ryno steps up and Green signs for the minimum again, short of a trade the Rox don't have a lot of options in FA.

LeBron goes to LA it's not to be on the next super team without PG or Kawhi. Not ruling out he goes to LA but it'll be for the reason DWade said, life style and family not basketball.

Green did resign for like $2.4mil with the Rockets
