Seems like there have been a lot of good players in this draft. A lot of the early second-rounders have been playing really well.

“Knox finished with 29 points on 9-of-20 shooting, including 5-of-7 from beyond the 3-point line, and nine rebounds.

Robinson, the Knicks’ second-round pick whom the Lakers considered drafting, racked up 13 points on 5-of-6 shooting with eight rebounds and three blocks — but was a minus-33.”

Trier has the makings to be a quality 6th man... Between Burke or Trier, we should be able to mold one of them into a quality 6th-man scoring plug type role, something every good team needs.

Even when Knox was missing early
Tonight, the form and the mechanics looked good. KP and Knox could be something to watch one day down the road.

Knox past 2gms has worked on knocking down the deep perimeter jumper appears he's in tune to what he needs to improve on. They said the kid is quiet and goes about his business in a very professional type manner. I like this quality about him, no nonsense...no noise...just work

I forget who interviewed him in one of the summer games but he addressed him as SIR, very respectful young man, the type front office types refer to as high character guys. It's early but he has me more excited than even Porzingis.

Like Broadway said, there are tons of solid prospects in this draft. Let’s see what org take advantage vs what teams screw it up.

Knox does remind me of Tatum. They dude can score in so many ways. He has moves, like Tatum, that teenagers shouldn’t have.

He seems like a grinder and that bodes well. We shall see... a nice first impression.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 17 points with four rebounds, six assists, three steals, one block and one 3-pointer in 29 minues against the Wizards on Wednesday.
He continues to control the tempo, making an impact on both ends. Perhaps no rookie point guard looked better than SGA -- may not be close either -- and he may wind up getting in the rotation sooner than we thought. Gilgeous-Alexander has been much better on offense than expected, including a well-rounded arsenal headlined by his 25-point Monday. SGA looks like the real deal

Trae with a 23pt 8 ast game in a 107-101 win vs. the Pacers. Hawks were down 27 and came back without Trae on the floor. He came back in with about 5 mins left and he closed the deal without hitting one 3 but showing that great court vision and passing ability, breaking down the defense and hitting that floater. His size is still a concern so the jury is still out on his success at this level but he's put together 2 nice back to back games.

He's showing the same court vision the past yr at OU, except now he's playing with better talent around him without the dumbed down NCAA rules. The NBA actually caters specifically to his style of play. He probably was the player we were targeting in a move up scenario. Can't wait to see who it was down the road. Unless he gets injured, he's going to rip this league a part. The passes he was making tonight were insane

Trier is such a black hole and very redundant to Burke. It's going to be interesting what happens with him. Someone has to get cut we sit at 16 already I believe plus we still have a couple exceptions to use on Free Agents

Trier isn’t a finished product... he already has an NBA skill set... he can score. He might be nothing more than a 6th man type... then again, he might be our best PG. Time will tell, but to me, Dotson and Baker need to go before Trier. I think we need offense here... not favoring Baker/Dotson defense over what Trier brings...

His 2-way contract prevents him from spending more than 45 days or something on team, until D-League season ends.

Trier torpedoed that label Tuesday in the Knicks’ loss to the Lakers. The 6-foot-5 guard racked up 21 points, five assists and 10 rebounds. He shot 8-of-13 from the field.

“People underrate his playmaking,’’ one NBA scout said. “He maybe got a stigma as a selfish player but so far his best game in summer league is when he played the entire game at point guard.’’

The Knicks have not made any of their coaches available to the media after the past two summer-league games. David Fizdale said last week Trier reminded him of “a Lou Williams.’’

According to sources, the Knicks have worked exclusively with Trier at moving the ball and seeing the court to enhance his sniper capabilities. He’s already an adept long-range shooter who can draw fouls in penetration.

Perry brings Knicks fans back to earth with the below comment and Knox on cue struggles in his 4th Summer League game going 5-20 for 15 pts. Robinson on the other hand was a beast with 17pts 12rbs 6blks 3 steals.

According to [Only registered and activated users can see links. ], Perry stated before the Knicks’ third Summer League game that fans must not remain aware of the context.
“I think it’s way too early to make an assessment after two summer-league games,’’ Perry said. “You have to measure it. Excitement or disappointment? Do we see encouraging things? Yes. But we know these aren’t the guys they’re playing against or not playing against in the fall.’’

Mitchell a beast today! Woah... 17 and 12 and 6 blocks and only 1 foul with 0 turnovers...

    Trier with 17-4-4 line too.

Knox is fine. He’s legit. Raw tho but you have to be blind not to see his athleticism and multi-faceted offensive game. Even in a bad game he still scored 15 and got to the FT line.

Semi is a solid defensive player and 5 years older than Knox. Gave him fits today.

Knox alley-oop to Robinson was sweet!
