Lance Thomas underwent arthroscopic surgery Thursday on his left knee and will be out at least four weeks, according to the Knicks. The knee has been bothering Thomas since training camp but he played the opening 11 games of the season before missing Wednesday?s 112-107 victory in Atlanta.

The 30-year-old Thomas started the first five of the games before being moved to the bench. He?s averaging 3.9 points in 15 minutes. The New York native will be a free agent next season if, as expected, the Knicks don?t pick up his $7.5 million team option.

Will LT being side line to injury hurt the Knicks in the depth of the game rotation ???

Another player becomes untradeable whose contract we need to move. Sigh. We are ****ed.

No ill will to LT. He plays hard. Hope he recovers well.
