Reports are the Knicks are looking for a PG and a scoring guard this off-season as their highest priority need, Garland might be that guy for us. I just don't think having 6'1" PG's in your backcourt that essentially are twins is going to work for the Cavs.

The Knicks don't need any guards !!!
The Knicks one on one individual performance on both sides of the court look like they need a team-ball coach, and a big-man coach.
Head-coach Miller's offensive system has been to give the ball to the teams Ball-Hoggers ..
Randle-Handle, Morris, and rookie RJ Barrett .. these 3 ball-hoggers are poor on the defensive-end, averaging above 30 minute per game and 5 assist combine.

The reason why Houston Rockets coach Dantoni has success running a small-ball rotation because all the players in his rotation knows how to perform in a trap-defense, and how to Block-out, set Picks, and set Screens for their fellow teammates to get open looks within 15 seconds of the 24 second clock.
The Knicks play a lousy half-court offense of isolation b.ball where they are forcing up shots 80% of the time.
The Knicks roster only have TWO players (Gibson & MitchRob) that actually blocks-out, set picks, and set screens for their fellow teammates however, both these players receive less than 20 minute per game.
When Gibson & MitchRob are not on the court to provide Picks and Screens certain players find it hard to score .. Ellington, Bullock, DSJ, Knox, and Portis.
Randle & Portis individual performance are useless bums on both sides of the court, their 2 previous teams seen their over-all skills does not compliment any of their teammates performance, and refuse to extend their contract.
Giving Randle a 3 yr $57M contract, Portis a $15M per contract .. Mills & Perry should've been fired at the same time !!!

Not sure what Houston Rockets team you're watching but they run the fewest PnR plays of any team in the NBA, and since they've gone small ball they probably run even fewer PnR plays and set fewer screens since they traded Capela and don't give their bigs Chandler and Hartenstein any burn since they went small.

Surprised you even follow the Rockets because they play heavy ISO ball with 2 high usage guys in Harden and Russ and they rank next to last in assists per games as a team, a style of ball you hate since you're always complaining about the Knicks players playing too much ISO ball and relying on the 3 pt shot too much.

The Rox are 4-2 since they went small with a surprising W against the Lakers who I mentioned as the team who they would have the most problems with because of their size but they also handled the Jazz big man Gobert as well in beating them recently. Still not sold that their size won't be an issue esp come the playoffs but so far so good for the Rox, I'm giving it another 10 games to see if other teams can figure out how to exploit their lack of size to beat them.

We always talk about trading our young guys. Not surprisingly, one guy who apparently got interest at the trade deadline was Damyean Dotson. Teams want young 2 way players who come at a cheap price. Teams don?t want to give up assets to get lottery busts who inherently are overpriced until their rookie contracts expire.
