Not waiting until Xmas to declare the Fournier deal a bust, the guy can't defend and unless he puts up points he'll always be a minus net rating. Thibs was quick to demote Kemba, hope the front office sees the truth about Fournier and gives him his ticket out of town quick.

1. Chris Duarte is the TRUTH. Will drop 40 points this season. Has an all around game and Knicks lost not trading up for him
2. Benching Kemba has done nothing. He was quick to bench Kemba in 20 games, yet we played Payton all season. Elf Payton currently averaging 4 ppg 2pg.
3. Thibs lost this team
4. Toppin should get 25-28 minutes per game
5. Fournier sucks, but Reggie Bullock is averaging 36% FG 26% 3PT and 66% FT on 6 ppg for Dallas who's struggling to make the 8th seed.
6. Don't let Kiyaman's obsession with Bullock/Payton trick you into thinking they're solutions for us. They suck now and will never be memorable NBA players.
7. Fournier sucks, but he isn't a long long term contract. We can move him.
8. Randle cannot be the vocal point of this offense. Good 2nd option like Middleton, but not a primary.
9. RJ will improve. Will average out 19 ppg this season. Will have an explosive 2nd half of the season
10. Mitchell playing for a contract season, but his health is a huge concern.

I agree with this all! If you bench Kemba, shouldn?t you bench Evan?

Time for IQ and Obi to play 25 a night? indeed

Hey Metro, where been hiding out??

I haven't had a chance to read the forums, been busy with double shifts. I caught the recent losses and I'm not gonna lie it put me into a depression. I love the Knicks more than I love the Yankees and Jets(don't tell no one). It's very hard to support this team when we faced all kinds of disappointments and our tolerance for disappointment is higher than any sports fan. Atleast Lions had Matthew Stafford. Pirates are pretty ass but have a promising future. Hockey? Who are equivalent to us? Knicks can't even get a top 10 player together.

McBride/Grimes should be the backcourt off the bench. Move RJ to the 3.

Quickley should start, if we aren't going to develop him it's such a waste of a pick and a talent.

Quickley has proven he can be a spark off the bench, but if Thibs decides to keep him there all season, we may never see the best of Quickley. This season he seems to facilitate more and play defense.

Fournier has to be benched, his energy doesn't match what we need for starters(Walker not at full health had this same problem so I understand the benching)

We've played enough games into the season. I say 10 games was too early, but being 25 games into an 82 game season...if we don't adjust now, most of the teams in the East will figure it out and build on that momentum while we struggle to make the 8th seed. Luckily Knicks have a lot of depth and talent spread.

Randle has essentially been Antonie Walker 2011 for us. In order for us to win, we need him to be Utah Jazz Paul Millsap. Let the guards be guards. I get we play in a positionless era, but Randle really isolates the rest of the team away from generating an offense that will keep defenses on their toes. Randle stopping the ball for a difficult shot will be our demise. I'm not for benching Randle, but we need a system where Randle doesn't get as many touches (I get it we are paying him good money) but Randle can impact other areas of basketball that can translate to winning that isn't just scoring. I feel like when Randle doesn't score or get involved, he checks himself out. He's too talented for that.

It was okay last season because Randle shot 46%FG and 40% 3PT.

Wsup Metro .. I like to add a little more to seven of ur statements ...
# 2 - Without Kemba the Knicks are 2-4 .. Was it really Kemba performance?

# 3 - Coach Thibs without assistant Woody, or a better replacement may turn into a losing season for the Knicks. Coach Thibs has a lot of problems to fix this season, and the number one problem are Thibs can not stop Randle from playing PG, and calling all the shots on offensive possession.
Welcome back Metro !!!

# 6 - Payton played 3 consecutive season with Randle, and Bullocks played 2 seasons with Randle. Bullocks & Randle in their 2nd season together build a winning chemistry together to become the Knicks best chemistry tandem. The two players meshed well on offense/defense, plus having Payton big mouth in their ear lead to a successful season..
Recall, last season win or lose, no Knicks fan or media ever complain or wrote anything negative about Bullocks 30 min performance each game.
I could only wonder the reason why Randle & Thibs didn't speak-up to the Knicks FO for a extension for Bullocks service before the regular season ended ???

#7- Fournier don't suck .. Fournier's talent & position are the same as RJ Barrett, but better on both sides of the court. Signing Fournier talent meant the Knicks were replacing Barrett in the starter lineup.
Burks was supposed to replace Fournier in the starter lineup, and Fournier's perimeter shooting be put on the 2nd unit lineup to enhance the scoring power in the lineup.
Starters .. Kemba Burks Barrett Randle, and Noel
2nd Unit .. D.Rose Quickley Fournier, Toppin, and MitchRob

#8- When coach McMillian explored all of Randle weak areas in 5 postseason games ..
The conclusion of the Knicks postseason was to take the offensive ball out of Randle's hands, and make Randle play at his position as a PF on the side of the paint, and when Randle comes out of the paint its to provide PnR, or provide a double screen with the center for teammates and perimeter shooters.
Randle's type of performance are a 3rd option on offense, Randle's playmaker move were good against opponents bench unit, but not this season. Randle's to much dribble- dribble performance have all Knicks opponents attacking him quick for the double team that leads into a turnover.
The Knicks need a SG or SF to be their first option on offense (Not Barrett or Beal).
The Knicks 2nd option on offense should be our PG & Center.

#10- The young double-double MitchRob only need the Knicks FO to get him a big-man coach throughout this season. or better yet, the Knicks FO should find away to get PG Ben Simmons leadership to make everyone happy..
The reason I did not want to sign a FA (or buyout) Kemba Walker as Knicks PG are because the Knicks have 2 above the rim scorers (Obi/Mitch) that should be getting the ball to score pts on FG & FT during the first half of every game.
And I don't recall Kemba ever dropping Dimes to any of his big-men in his career.
Randle stop passing downlow cause it leads to turnovers.
Today, the Knicks need a PG that have several downlow plays that get the center points on the score board.
The other night when MitchRob dive for the ball, and one of the Spurs dive on his back. I'm sure MitchRob gotta urgent call from his agent reminding him the Knicks did not give him and extension, so play, but play to stay healthy throughout the season for the FA market.

sup Kiya, big bro.

I think Mike Woodson is very underrated. He started his job at UI this season, but Knicks seem to play best when Woodson is staffed with us. We seen it with Knickstape and we saw it last season. I do believe Thibs needs an assistant coach because Thibs is more a defensive specialist.

I think Payton was toxic for us: following reasons

I've spent multiple games last season watching Payton into 3 defenders with a red hot RJ wide open. Last season, RJ had one of the best shooting seasons for an NBA sophomore we saw. There was a stat that showed Payton only had 18 assists to RJ after playing 842 mins with him. Randle isolating the offense was bad enough, but Payton was even worse because he can't shoot. Scott Perry has no business being this clingy when it comes to his hand-picked reclamation projects from his Orlando days. He whiffed on a lot of his picks during his tenure with the Magic. Perry hasn't been good since the Detroit days when he managed to build a championship roster. In his time in Orlando, Perry helped draft Victor Oladipo(2013), Aaron Gordon and Elf Payton (2014), and Mario Hezonja (2015). If Perry trades for Gordon/Oladipo this season, you knew has issues and only sees those he draft as fit to be on his teams. Perry has to broaden his horizon and help the Knicks franchise expand beyond what he scouts. I'm not even sure who our scout is. But Payton was a complete fail for us. Payton literally doesn't kick out of drives and only gets assists to the big.

One of the things I really appreciate about Randle is, he took the complaints and criticism people had to heart (some of it was well deserved) and improved on every facet of his game. Payton is the dude who heard the noise, and doubled down on himself.

Reggie Bullock is averaging 36% FG 26%3PT and 66% FT @Kiyaman. Theres no way we are missing him. He sucks for Dallas and even Fournier at his worse is an upgrade over Bullock. Bullock got roasted by Trae Young and isn't really the defender people make him out to be. We virtually replacd Bullock with Grimes, however Grimes isn't known for his defense, but Grimes can be as good as a shooter. No one in NYK will miss Bullock. Bullock/Payton chemistry led us no where but a first round embarassment. It's time for us as a fanbase to completely move on from the Payton/Bullock thing. They're now 4th string scrubs in the West.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Mavericks/comments/rbklvo/why_is_reggie_bullock_so_awful_this_year/

Maverick fans already sick of him within 20 games.

7. Fournier isn't a "high energy" player. Atleast Barrett is active on defense. Fournier is literally a turnstile.
Fournier doesn't have the talent or skill to replace #3 pick RJ. Let's be realistic.

8. Kemba is pretty good with bigs, he plays better with Robinson than any PG on this team. I promise you Kemba will come back this season and get his job back.

Got a notification on my phone that said Knicks trade for Damian Lillard and I thought it's got to be RJ and JR along with 2 or 3 first round picks going to Portland, really got excited but after tapping the notification on my phone seems it was only a hypothetical trade by Ian Begley on getting Lillard to the Knicks and it didn?t include JR because he would be one leg of the multi star model that would attract the 3rd star to come to NY. Begley trade has the Knicks trading 3 or 4 of our guys and picks to get Dame and in the end he asks the question whether it's worth dismantling your entire team to get him.

Supposedly POR has said Dame is off the table in any trade discussions with even the Sixers being rebuffed in asking for Dame in exchange for Simmons.

Dec 15 is coming up and that's the date that FAs acquired in the off season can be traded so I was wondering if the Knicks would be hard at work to trade Fournier, Walker and RJ for Simmons. Doubt Morey would do a deal like that but maybe his asking price will drop with the Dec 15 date.
