Knicks sign Butler for the rest of the season

Contrary to earlier reports the Knicks have decided to fill their last active roster spot with a Center instead of a Guard...

We signed C/F Jackie Butler for the remainder of the season. He was playing for the CBA until we signed this 6-10 250 pound 19 year old. In the CBA he was averaging 18.1 ppg, 10.7 rpg and 1.45 block shots. if you want the full story go to the official site of the New York Knicks...

in further news former knick Jamison Brewer was waived today. Good Luck Brewer...hes likely to sign with Boston.

This is a plus, hes a good young player. Actually have kept up on CBA basically for the reason of having no life haha jk...but ive heard/read a lot about this kid and i cant wait to see him play. its a good story too because Butler had left straight from high school to go straight to the pros and it didnt work out, he played with MN for 3 games and barely got any minutes... so im glad he gets this opportunity...GOOD LUCK JACKIE BUTLER!!!

its not like we're limited to only signing one guy, if im right we still have 2 open roster spots, even with the addition of butler so that still leaves us with the option of signing a guard. Everyone was complaining we didnt have a big man so there you go, a big man, but im suprised isiah didnt sign a guard first.

for those of you who dont know Jackie entered the NBA draft early entry from high school, was undrafted, and has been playing in the Continental Basketball Association, since, and has been performing quite well.

oh ok, i see where your coming from. But thats a coaches dream.. to have a roster full of players, he has a hard time dciding who goes on the IL, and who doesnt.

I think this is a good pick up by Isiah. He can't be worse than Bruno.

haha yea, and this guy seems to be a lot more athletic than bruno, a lot more

Man the guys been a Knick a day already and we are comparing him to Bruno.....a bit harsh haha

that nba draft site is hype on him, they make him out to be a taller, more athletic sweetney. Sounds good, but we're still going to have to wait to see if He can handle the nba
