Laimbeer wants to concentrate on WNBA jobESPN.com news services

Bill Laimbeer has told Isiah Thomas that he no longer wants to be considered for the Knicks' head coaching job, a source involved in the talks told ESPN's Jim Gray.

The source added that Laimbeer plans to concentrate on his current head coaching job with the WNBA's Detroit Shock and that he has an interest in the Sonics opening.

Would not have been a good hire anyway... hold out for LB or else if Larry stays with Detroit, Herb will do just fine during the rebuilding

Laimbeer untested in NBA coaching, the Shock not doing great (just over 500)... let the Sonics have a look at him... that'll teach them for not extending Nate Mc contract
