    Default Salary Cap Hell

I found a good site explaining salary caps and how the Knicks got into this mess. Some of you already know how the cap works but for those that don't, this site may be interesting.

The Cap for 2005-06 season is $49.5 million.
The Knicks stood at $103,100,000 before the Curry trade. However the league has"salary exceptions" that allow teams to go over the limit. As most of us already know, the salary cap hell began with Allan Houstons 19.1 million per year deal. So the question is this, how does trading for Kenyon Martin affect our cap problem? He's due to make 65 million thru 2010.
