NBA.com Preview
The Boston Celtics try to extend their home winning streak over the New York Knicks to five games on Monday when the Atlantic Division teams meet at the FleetCenter.
The Celtics have won their last four home games against the Knicks since New York posted a 100-91 victory here since January 3, 2001.
New York snapped an overall eight-game losing streak against Boston with an 89-86 victory at Madison Square Garden on November 17. Michael Doleac had six points and eight rebounds in the fourth quarter for the Knicks, who rallied from a 17-point deficit.
The Knicks followed their win over the Celtics with consecutive losses before posting a 99-88 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday.
Shandon Anderson scored 20 points and Charlie Ward added 18 points as New York recorded its most lopsided victory of the season.
Howard Eisley made five 3-pointers en route to 17 points and Doleac collected 12 points, five rebounds, four blocks and three steals as the Knicks played without Keith Van Horn, who is sidelined with a sprained right ankle.
New York has lost four consecutive road games and five of six away from home overall. It opens a three-game trek against Boston and tries to notch consecutive wins for the first time this season.
The Celtics have dropped three in a row for the second time this season after an 87-85 loss to the 76ers on Friday.
Paul Pierce scored 33 and Vin Baker added 22 for the Celtics, who have lost four of five following consecutive victories.
Boston squandered a nine-point halftime advantage, making only 10-of-36 shots in the final 24 minutes.
The Celtics have not scored or allowed 100 points in a game this season, the team's longest streak to start a season since the 1953-54 campaign.

My Prediction
Boston 97 - New York 99

this is trully good news!
two in a row without H20 and KVH, i would't be surprised at all if chaney will get another extension.
but let's not overreact. the celtics aren't that good, it was a predictable win. or is it come to this? every win, no matter against who must be celebrated like the last one?

maybe they aren't that good, but we lost games with teams worse than the celtics, like cavs, magic, bucks...
well, let's enjoy this win with some pics :)
