Walsh Coach Plan.

Walsh asks people to remember that it was an unpopular move to bring back Doc Rivers last year as coach. When asked about how it would be impossible to bring back Isiah

First off, I know that he is just trying not to come straight out and say that he going to fire Isiah, so he pretending to leave the door open for bringing him back. However this is the type of comments that will turn fans against you quick. First off New York fans know that there is a major difference between Isiah Thomas and Doc. Doc only coached a miserable team in 06-07, the 07-08 Isiah coached a miserable team, was found guilty of sexual harrassment, had public fights with players, and paired to players that no one in the league thought would work. The Celtics also got Two All Stars added to their team, which bought Doc some more time to make it work.

Look Donnie comments like that can slide in Indy, but NY fans do our homework, we know what is what. Just simply say "I have not finalized my decsion yet" when talking about if you are going to fire Isiah. Because comments like that one, make it sound like you are dumb enough to consider bringing Isiah back as coach, and two, that you don't think NY fans are smart.

But that is not to say that I don't like Donnie Walsh, but he needs to be careful with his words, even if he just trying to be fair to the man he is about to fire!

It's time for Thomas to go. He's failed in every change he's made to the team. That being said, fans are going to turn on Walsh no matter what he does but I'm not sure how it can be justified to keep Thomas unless he pends the failed season on Marbury and Curry. Thomas is the biggest bullshiter I've ever seen and hopefully Walsh doesn't fall for it.

Go 1990s New York Knicks!
Walsh is looking to add Patrick Ewing to the coaching staff at the end of the season. Mark Jacksons chance of becoming the head coach have risen, and Isiahs days with the New York Knicks are likely to set away.

Looks like almost all the predictions/info might be coming true, Isiah Thomas though will likely be in the organization in one way, but no definate information is annouced on that topic. Possibly a "advisor" for coach..

Patrick Ewing as coach, that rumor has faded away, but Mark Jackson as coach that will be the most likely move. The big name coaches like Larry Brown, and Lenny Wilkins didn't work for us, its time for the Knicks to start with a fresh face.

How come no one ever mention the complete poor ass job that Herb Williams, Mark Aquire, and Hann performed for the last three seasons?

They may not be the quarterback of coaching but they are the offensive linemen to give the quarterback the time to use his talents.
They did a shitty job with Wilkins, Brown, and Isiah...

Lenny Wilkens was a good coach, when he was on the Knicks. They made the playoffs, his first year with the team, and they played .500 basketball, the second year he was on the team. Isiah just got rid of him, cause he's stupid.

Walsh eyes Mike D'Antoni

According to the NY Post, Walsh may contact Mike D'Antoni for an interview if he is fired as the Sun's head coach. Paul Silas told The Post last night he plans on contacting Walsh in the next few days with interest in interviewing for the Knick job.

Walsh's Short List
It seems Donnie's short list of coaches has come/may down to:

Mike D'Antoni- Run and gun coach, not a defensive specialist.

George Karl- Good relationship with Walsh but may be retained by the Nuggets.

Avery Johnson- Had two great seasons. Inherited a great team but so did Phil Jackson his entire career. Will lose in round one and maybe a good pick up.

Mark Jackson- Media's beloved champion. Ex-player, great play maker but lack of experience specific to coaching may be a liability for him.

Tom Thibodeau- Defensive specialist Walsh maybe looking for. The real front runner in my view. Walsh may have to wait until the finals to interview Thibodeau since the Celtics are expected to go all the way.

Herb Williams- The Truth! 7 years of coaching experience, former interim coach, has been apart of the glory days of the Knicks as a player, backing up Ewing. A proven coach.

Paul Silas- A coaches coach. Has experience working with young teams.

These are the 4 who i think would be the best options out of that list.

D'antoni only coaches offense. The suns play very little defense and they will be finished off tonight by the spurs. Heres a video of phil jackson owning dantoni

I gotta say i like the idea of mark jackson being the coach. I think theres a couple options that are more proven then he is but sumthin tells me he would do a good job of coaching the knicks. I dont think him not being a coach before is as bad as some people say it is. I would give him a chance if i was Donnie.
