when does the status of a member(Rookie, Sixth Man..etc) change? Is it related to the number of posts?

yes, the ranks are related to the number of posts

0-49 posts = Rookie
40-99 posts = Starter
100-199 posts = 12th man
200-299 posts = 6th man
300-499 posts = All Star
500+ = Veteran

oh yeah, 1 more thing.. why is 12th man and 6th man require more posts than starter? just curious :)

oh, what was i thinking when i created those ranks?? :wallbash: and how come no one noticed this before?
thanks for your observation, i'll fix it right away.

btw, if you can gimme new ideas of ranks instead of these ones.. lemme no

untill then, we stick with what we have:

0-49 posts = Rookie
50-99 posts = 12th man
100-199 posts = 6th man
200-299 posts = Starter
300-499 posts = All Star
500+ = Veteran

I hate to screw it up even more, but shouldn't All-Star be higher than Veteran?

There's a lot of veterans, but not all of them have made the AllStar team

for my 100th post (making me a 6th man :hump: ), how bout adding in a hall of fame or superstar for the highest status? and when they reach the highest status they can get privileges that the other members don't have (i dunno what they are but it sounds good anyway :p )

Ok, this is how we're going to do:
I'll let you all think, and post here the way you'd like to be ranked
The title and the minumum number of posts
what you say? ;)

My opinion:

0-49 posts = Rookie
50-99 posts = 12th man
100-199 posts = 6th man
200-299 posts = Veteran
300-499 posts = Starter
500+ = All-Star

1000+ = LA Laker

Haha just playin about the last one-- I gotta represent for my team ;) . But that's how I think it should go.

**going of the Laker fans format but a little harder**

0-49 posts = Rookie
50-99 posts = 12th man
100-199 posts = 6th man
200-499 posts = Starter
500-999= All-Star
1000 - 1499 = NBA first team
1500+ = Hall of Fame

Yeah, you know what I like SwishFm's because after a while once everyone reached 500 posts, the ratings won't mean anything.

This is my revised version:

0-49 posts = Rookie
50-99 posts = 12th man
100-199 posts = 6th man
200-499 posts = Veteran
500-999= Starter
1000 - 1499 = All-Star
1500 - 1999 = NBA First Team
2000+ - MVP

I think you should take out "Hall of Fame" and maybe do something separate with that.

both ideas are great, but let's have some funny ranks like towel boy, or other that prove how much you really like the knicks, like fan, die-hard fan, orange&blue bleeder...

Also, I hate screwing it up MORE, but shouldn't Rookie be higher than 12th man? I mean if I'm a rookie I could be LeBron or Carmelo, so I'm better than a 12th man... Just a suggestion ;)

Rookie by definition is: novice. A 12th man may not be great. But he is most likely not a novice.
