Ohh so now biblical prophecy is interpretational not literal?
OPEN MOUTH INSERT FOOT.
So what now you're just going to guess at it being a metaphor for GOD's word?
U people just really can't stick a side can you?
This whole prophecy bull**** reminds me of the Charlie Brown Halloween episode where Linus is always waiting for the Great Pumpkin to arrive....and then Charlie sister believing in all his bull**** kicks his ass because they could've been getting candy...but ohh no she got jerked around waiting for nothing.
I feel bad for the children...

No, you understand the bible by sticking to the theme of the book.
The bible says the earth shall stand to time indefinate. If that's true, then the sun and moon and stars have to also stand in the state they are in, because anything less will mean the destruction for earth.
If the sun goes black, and not give off it's radiation, the earth is ruined. And how could the moon turn to literal blood and still reflect the suns light at night?
So clearly these things happening would be of a symbolic reference, though they have a literal meaning.
