Honestly I think we need to start thinking about player's that will be available more like in the middle of the first round. I don't think we'll even be picking in the top 10, but that's just my opinion.
Middle of the 1st -
1.Johny Flynn -SYR - True PG with Driving,Dishing and good defence
2.Nick Calathis - FLA - Good SG with Size, a great shot and great court Vision (AKA Gallo the American )
3. Any Big Defensive minded C/PF that's athletic enough to run the floor in Coach D's system.
im looking at players like (who'll be avilable around 8-12 'our draft range')
1. Greg Monroe C- thats the defensive minded C u were asking about, he gets alotof bocked shots about 3 a game, and his rebounding is good and he's fast for a 7 footer and runs the floor very well, he's a Dwight Howard kinda center the big defensive athletic type....he's gonna be really good
2. Tyreke Evans SG- dude is a flat out scorer and he does it all he could handle the ball very well and could play balhawking defense, reminds me of Joe Johnson
3. Earl Clark SG/SF- very versitile
4. Jonny Flynn PG-we need a pg for the future....
i say take Monroe with our first pick and with our second try and trade for another pick to get Ty Lawson or Flynn...or wait for second round steals like Rice, and Price
and where we're gonna pick around 10 Evans and Monroe will/should be available
I agree. That monroe guy looks like the real deal on the defensive side. We already have many scorers so picking him up as a defensive presence is the right move.
Hey, I was thinking about this line up:
Duhon- 10-12 ppg
Lebron- 25+ ppg
Chandler- 15-18 ppg
Harrington- 20 ppg
Lee- 12-14 ppg
Its about an 85 ppg average. And that's not even counting a second superstar in our team. Plus add on another 25 ppg by our bench. That's about 110 ppg. So we really should build up our defense with this next coming draft.
We should also get a guy who is a threat from three point land since we average a million attemtps a game from behind the arc.
I agree though we should upgrade on defense and that calls for Hasheem Thabeet.
