The Billups vs Iverson debut

Denver coach Karl received one of the Top-3 best "Player-Coaches" in the NBA to run the Denver Nuggets PG position. Chauncy Billups......his first game debut vs the Dallas Mavs showed how his presence on court or on the bench kept Denver in keeping their close lead to the Mavs 2nd half charge of PG-Kidd 22 pts, 10 rbd, 9 ast, and PG-Terry 20 pts, 7 ast, 2 stl. It's remarkable how the Denver Nuggets kept the lead to beat Dallas by 108-105.

The 4-0 Detroit Pistons received their first lost of the season on Allan Iverson debut vs the 1-2 New Jersey Nets 103-96. And it did not look good for AI when PG-Devin Harris had his best game in a Nets uniform scoring 38 points on 62% fga in 38 minutes.
The Nets Bigmen ruled this game over Detroit Piston's missing Antonio Mcdyess. Rasheed Wallace needed Mcdyess veteran experience to help him guide Kwame Brown, Herrmann, and Maxiell dominating presence on the court. Detroit giving-up Mcdyess with Billups for just Iverson may have over-paid (in team veteranship) for the scoring Super-Star. Especially if Denver refuse to release Mcdyess this season.

I believed the Knicks did the samething in 2003-4 when they traded 2 first round draft picks and Antonio Mcdyess (whom was mixing well with a veteran frontcourt rotation with Mutombo, Kurt Thomas, and KVH), for Marbury & Penny Hardaway. The Knicks over-paid bigtime in that trade.<!-- google_ad_section_end -->
