And guys, we are back to the laughingstock of the league. Its so depressing, 8 straight losing seasons. Every year I come into the season thinkin ok, I just want the knicks to be .500 and get an 8th seed or close to it. But no this is just a horrible franchise, prob the worst in the 4 major sports right now. They are just a pathetic group. Knick fans are really good and smart fans, we dont deserve this kind of effort and shitty team. Back to back blown out loses at home, people pay good money and spend there time watching this ridicolous team master the art of being terrible. Its really pathetic what the New York Knicks have become. Looking back at all those hard fought teams of the 90's and this franchise right now is just obsurd. I am embarrased to be a knick fan.

I know what you mean man,its been a hell of a stretch for all of us Knicks fans since about 10 years ago.It hurts watching my team be the laughing stock of the NBA every year but they can't blame nobody but them selfs b/c they got their own selfs in this mess.We can't be bad forever im just hoping we get better sooner than later b/c im tired of watch us lose every year.We deserve better!!

The Knicks belong in the WNBA.They couldn't beat a hungry group of females in a preseason tournament. It's surprising that this team hasn't had a season in which they went 0-82.I never seen a team that took so much pleasure in losing the way the knicks have.Do they go home and have fantasies about being manhandled by the other 29 teams in the league? They are better than Viagra when it comes to enhancing the performance of their opponent.I would trade the entire team for a box of fig newtons.

Rubio is overrated. Anyone who saw the Olympics knows that to be the case: he actually cost Spain the gold medal, because he was nowhere near as good as Jose Calderon. As for Griffin, I don't know who that is. If he's tall, can rebound, block and score in the post, and has a high basketball IQ, then pull the trigger.

We've had talent, as RED stated on his checklist, all we have really needed is a real center. Just look at what Hawes did to us, last night. Bottom line, WE NEED A CENTER!

Embarrassing when our team gets blowed-out at Home....twice in a row....by two teams under a .450 record.

I guess now u guys are finally witnessing what Larry Hughes brings to the Knicks....gettin blownout at home (we traded 3-DNP players for 1-DNP player)....our coach did not see this after Hughes 3rd game as a Knick???

As soon as Dantoni gave Larry Hughes 36 minutes of playingtime (his 3rd game as a Knick)....I screamed "TANKING"!!!
but no one listened.
I think Gallo listen b/c he wasted no time catching the next flight to Italy.
:teeth: "seeya, call me long-distance when u got it together".

When the Knicks win its Dantoni system....when the Knicks lose its the players....

Ricky can actually play defense, unlike Jose.
Only thing Jose is better at is shooting...Rubio will be an elite passer.

We need a superstar first.
then get some true position players(PG/C)

Then we'll be set.

I don't think you can judge him soley from his performance in the Olympics. He was 18 or 19 years old playing against guys like Kobe, Lebron, CP3, etc.

Rubio>>>>>>>>Calderon. Rubio won defensive player of the year in euroleague, and has Steve Nash like court vision. He would be the perfect PG to run this offense. Unfortunately, he'll probably go top 5.

Blake Griffin out of Oklahoma. Your description pretty much sums him up, but he's going to get drafted 1st overall most likely.

Rady, you should seriously consider banning some of these circus folk that frequent this site.

Look, JJ, Calderon is one of the best point guards in this league (the NBA), period: +18.42 EFF, 12.7 PPG, 49 FG%, 40 3P%, 8.6 Assists per game.
His footspeed is unparalleled, by anyone except for maybe Tony Parker. And Rubio did not only play bad against the US Olympic team, he played bad throughout the Olympics and became a liability, in the gold medal game, turning the ball over, while trying to do trick dribbles.

Here are Rubio's stats, from the Euroleague:

<table id="ctl02_ctl00_PlayerStats_tblPlayerStats" class="PlayerStatsContainer" style="border-collapse: collapse;" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tbody><tr><td>2008-2009

For previous years, look here:

By the way, I have watched this guy in Euroleague competition, and, just like in the Olympics, he lacks jumping ability, is very slow, and just is not that good of a player. Bottom line: the guy's overrated and physically limited, regardless of age. As for Spanish league play, it's not Euroleague, which is where the best competition lies, so I'll stick with his Euroleague performance.

Just like Gallo, he's much better in his local league than in the Euroleague competition, where he'd have to face the best teams. He'll be much worse in the NBA. Euroleague is overrated, the skills are just sub-par. In my opinion, the NCAA is of more quality. If Euro was so great, we'd take their players regularly, instead of them taking our 40 year old retirees.
