Nothing need be said.

Mos Def- Black On Both Sides. This album is really amazing. hiphop at its finest. The song Brooklyn is pure amazing. Plus you got the relaxing beats in it too (Umi Says)

Common.jpg

Love it. 6th Sense is pure Common Sense. I think the best song here is the light. The Light is such an amazing song, and tells a beautiful story. Something 99.9% if rappers nowadays cant do...

avenger sevenfold- city of evil
Yes, i like rock too. I love every song on this album, the guitar solos (M.I.A) (Bat Country) are truly beast. My fav rock album. Recommend it for any rock lover.

Yep. My #5 choice is Nas' underrated 2nd album, It was Written. I dont know why so many people considered this a dissapointment, just because of its predecessor. Sweet beats, nice flow, from the man himself, the illmatic ni**a, Nasty Nas.

Hollywood Undead, meh. Dont like them.

I like your Waking the Fallen choice. I'm learning to play Unholy Confessions on guitar. Avenged Sevenfold is a great band.

Good choices. I agree that It Was Written is underrated. One of my favorite (and probably yours too lol) songs, Streetdreams is on there. Another good song off that one is If I Ruled the World. Mine:

Nas- Stillmatic

Jay-Z- Reasonable Doubt (I liked Jay-Z's early work. Got too commercial later in his career.)

^What other songs are on the Led Zeppelin album? I really like the songs Kashmir and Dancing Days, not sure which album they're on.

Five albums that shaped me, in order of importance...

1. Live - Mental Jewelry: First album that really reached me, with a deep message, with its talk of peace, rebellion, religion, etc., etc, around age 16. These guys were kids, when they made the album, so, as you can imagine, as a kid, it kind of "shaped" me. Later on, it led me to pursue certain things that I otherwise would not have.

2. Westside Connection: Gangstas make the world go round: Cube is my favorite rapper, but this particular album is really bangin. It was either Amerikkka's most wanted or this. Bottom line: very rebellious, militant, dissatisfied, which appeals to my personality.

3. The Red Hot Chili Peppers - Blood Sugar Sex Magik: Got a audiotape of this, around age 14 (only kid in my neighborhood who listened to this), and it was just dope: rap, rock, funk base. This got me into Parliament and George Clinton. Funny, crazy, thought-provoking, it's good to listen to, while lighting up a bowl or "doing it."

4. The Smiths: The Smiths-Very melodic, funny lyrics, haunting songs. If you like New Wave music, with style and grace, this is for you. I like this for no particular reason, except that it's damn good. There are also some social messages, here.

5. Gang Starr: Hard to Earn - Dopest Gang Starr album, in my opinion. There's a lot here, especially Guru claiming his rightful place as a real rapper, with a deeper message than how
many cars or hoes he has.
