Garcia better shot blocker? I don't see that in his stats.
Passing? That's not what stats say...
Rebounding? Check the stats!
It's obvious that Chandler is a much better player than Garcia, and remember, he's only 22.
How can you tell me that I have a fetish for false promise guys if I'm talking about just one?
You're always praising latin players, Rubio, Garcia, Rodriguez, Fernandez etc... now that's a fetish.
I never said Garcia was a better rebounder, where did you get that from?
Chandler isn't a great rebounder either, only averages 6 rebounds per 36 minutes. Garcia is a barely 190 lbs and still manages to get 4.5-5 rebounds per game.
Wilson Chandler is a better passer than a point foward...a SG who can handle the rock and dribble the ball up the court.
You serious here?
Well, Garcia is a better shot blocker, despite having less hops.
Check this.
Career per 36 minute
Garcia: 1.1 blocks
Chandler: 1.0 blocks
.1 isn't a lot, but its still better...especially consider Garcia isn't a great athlete like Chandler...Chandler really is an underachiever at all aspects of the game. Garcia isn't a big assist guy, but he's definitely a superior ball handler/passer.

Garcia is a superior shooter
FG: 44%
3pt: 37%
FT: 80%
Chandler
FG: 43%
3pt: 32%
FT: 76%
Obviously.
Chandler disappoints in FG. He's a big wing player and should be shooting atleast 45-47%.
Garcia hangs around the perimeter and still manages to shoot at a better rate.
Garcia is also more efficient and doesn't need a lot of shot attempts to score.
Garcia takes
11 FGAttempts per 36 minutes
on 14-15 points per 36
Chandler takes
14 FGAttempts per 36 minutes
on 15 points per 36.
Who goes to the free throw more? The skinny Garcia.
3.2 FT for Garcia
2.8 FTA for Chandler
Conclusion?
Chandler is soft.
He doesn't go to the free throw line enough...at a very low rate...he needs a high volume of shots to score a low volume of points, he should be rebounding and block shots more, but doesn't, and he shoots a very low FG% for a 6"8 SF.
You can't teach toughness or aggression, its how you play, and Chandler plays the game very soft, almost Tim Thomas soft.
Chandler actually reminds me of mini Tim Thomas, without the range.
Why take Garcia?
He's a legit SG with range. Chandler is wasting Gallinari progression and minutes.
A lot of Knick fans wouldn't mind having Rubio, Garcia, and Fernandez on this team.
Where did I say I was a fan of Rodriguez? He's a decent prospect, he's in no way in position to be a NBA starter. He may be a Knick this season, so why can't I root for him?
Conclusion of this, you're an idiot for jumping to conclusion.
I could give a f*ck less about Spain and their country men, I just look for the best available talent for the Knicks, and Spain happens to provide it.
I must have a fetish for New York ballers like Odom, Artest, Telfair, Alston, Marbury, Garcia too.
You're being made ignorant too by placing a NYC-Dominican with a bunch of Euro-Spaniards. I guess anyone who speaks Spanish has to be the same to your racistass. This site is being watered down with closet racist.
You're just being ignorant and holding on to a conclusion that has no base.
hoop115, can anyone take that post seriously when you put Chandler in the same sentence as Kobe/Wade?
Not every young player has potential that will be tapped.
Most slightly improve, but stay the same player.
Some add range like Ariza, others don't.
Not everyone is the same.
and because Chandler is 22 doesn't mean he will be the next Wade or Kobe.
Lets be realistic.
Look into the individual, not the age.
Chandler is a soft guy, and a late first round talent.
Theres a reason why he was picked at the early 20's, and some people thought it was too high for him.
He never was that good.
and from my research, he will never be that good.
Trade him now before his stock falls.
I said the same thing about Eddy Curry, and no one listen to me.
Now we can't trade Curry at all.
Some Knick fans are too attached to youth since the 90's was loaded with veterans on the roster.
Knicks need the RIGHT youth, not "ANY" youth.
That what Isiah was doing...keeping us below average or medicore.
