Does Houton deserve his 16 MILL this year?

Houston has missed about a third of the games and he's making 16 mill. Its not like houston can't play hes just banged up like every other player he's just not used to being hurt and he cant handle it. Houston has been the most dissapointing Knick this year besides Eisley and Mcdyess. Imagine how good the knicks would have been if we had the team now at the begining of the year. If we had Isaih in the begining we would be the 4th seed with homecourt advantage. Next year with a couple small changes and building chemistry we could finish third or fourth or maybe win the atlantic over the nets  that would shut them up

he doesnt deserve it.. hopefully he'll make up for it with a healthy and productive next season.. or we trade him for someone worth the money.. :rolling:

hi, new to the forums

does he deserve it? no.
now someone worth the money brings up a good question, is kobe still in the mix? are there any other pure shooters (which the knicks obviously need without houston) that any nba teams are worth giving up? the only decent shooters i can see coming to the knicks are jamison and ginobili, given theyre not pure shooters, they can be, especially if marbury can get into the paint and become an attraction to all defenders. A jamison houston swap woudl obviously not happened, dallas isnt really in the need for a pure shooter. Ginobili is a better option for both teams but SA isnt looking to add on a burden that is houstons contract and injuries just for a shot are they? Back to kobe. Hes a great combination with Marbury, probably the best 1-2s in the nba. They both can move inside with marbury taking those inside shots, kobe taking the mid rangers and both of them have thier 3's, marbury's with a little more range. Now to be realistic, even though the rumors came up a month or so ago, would a houston kobe trade really happen?

IMO, among all the trade talks regarding the knicks the kobe-houston trade would be the most unlikely to happen.. it's hard to trade houston because of his big contract and mediocre play.. if we ever trade him he will be packaged with another player.. NO, he doesn't deserve the money but he still has a chance next season to prove us wrong..

Allen gets paid for what hes given this organization for years;top level shooting, good effort everynight(never see him dogg it),soso d-fense good when it counts, and a chance to win with him on the court.Thats why his name has been mentioned in the Kobe rumor. If Kobe's a 10 Allen's an 8.

allen does not deserve it because 1 reason is he can play he showed it in wizard game wen he banged his knee just 1 lil bang like that and hes out what happen if hes healthy next season but then another lil bump like that comes along hes out for the rest of the season i say get rid of him for draft picks

houston is a 2nd level all-star. 1st level being players like kobe, garnett, etc. no he doesn't deserve that contract, only 1st level all-stars should get that kind of loot. but if someone offered us that money we would take it too. it's not like he held out for it. stupid layden just gave it to him. if houston was making 8 or 9 million, no one would be saying anything. after the all-star break last year he about about 26.5 points a game. those are great numbers. i just wish he was healthy this year.

personally i luv the guy and he puts up great shooting numbers, but thats about it....
he really doesnt rebound or pass. obviously hes overpaid. anybody know starbury's salary? it should be 2x houston's.
