Looks like the Big 3 will now become the Big 4

An NBA source said tonight forward Rasheed Wallace has committed to sign with the Celtics Wednesday, the first day free agents are eligible to sign.
"Once (Wallace) had a chance to reflect on everything, and realizing what his objectives are, he just decided this was the best fit for him, all the way around," said Bill Strickland, Wallace's agent.
Wallace is expected to receive a two-year deal using the mid-level exception (expected to be about $5.6 million to $5.8 million).
The Celtics All-Star trio of Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen, and Paul Pierce, owner Wyc Grousbeck, coach Doc Rivers, and president Danny Ainge met with Wallace last week. Wallace turned down overtures from Orlando and San Antonio.
"He makes us better on both ends of the floor," Allen said.
The Celtics also have interest in Suns free agent forward Grant Hill. Despite a Fanhouse report that Rivers was to meet with Hill today in Orlando, its uncertain if he did and Rivers declined comment. All Boston can offer is the $1.9 million bi-annual exception.

As much as I hate the Boston Celtics it looks like they will have a team that will compete against the Lakers in the 2010 Finals.

settle down, no one knows how and if KG will last a full season, Ray allen will be another yr older, and Sheed is on the decline. Dont get crazy just yet with the positive superlatives over this move. Im not convinced personally I would be more worried about the MAgic with vince carter and other younger upcoming teams than the celtics. we are an 8th seed at best lets be concerned with other 8th seeds not the celts, their time will run out fast once arthitis , arthroscopic , and evasive start hampering their big 4 5 3 2 whateva the F. They are on the decline age based only.

We dont' have to be better than the Celtics. We just have to be better than the Wizards, the Raptors, the Bucks, the Nets, the Bobcats, the Pacers, and if we're lucky, the Bulls.

All we need is #8 and we're good. Hopefully if we're lucky someone sweeps the Heat in the first round and then DWade is NY-bound
