I'm not one who usually involves himself in forum contention but what's with the ingroups and outgroups here? If this place were a verbal boxing ring I could understand where you people are coming from.But why can't we just discuss basketball without getting personal with one another? I know it's difficult to agree with other peoples opinions but how does personally attacking a person strengthen an argument? We are part of a minority of faithful Knick fans yet we want to rip each other to shreds over our different opinions.

There are those who usual do not invole with the "verbal boxing." This is an internet forum board, this is normal for most forums.

Whether you believe it is right, wrong, you don't like, love it, etc, it will always happen here, unless Rady says otherwise.

The best advice I can give you is, if you like it join in. If you do not ignore it and concentrate on talking about basketball.

I'll bounce when he is the starter on a winning team for season...I'm a man of my word. That said, who would have thought when these discussions started that Duhon would go from terrible to god awful. I mean we have seen Duhon slumps before but this is out of hand. I honestly hope Nate proves me wrong and can run our offense. I do expect the TO's to elevate and Lee's numbers may suffer a bit but at this point Duhon needs to die.

Nah, I was just breaking your balls. No need to bounce- we all say (write) things that are a bit exagerated at times. That said, I think my self and others like Kiya just wanted to see N8 get a chance to "improve" since it's obvious Duhon is trash and N8's potential is far greater than Duhon on his best day. But I would add, I for one thought he needed some discipline and his antics were a bit counter-productive. It really was a reflection on D'Antoni and the greater expectations we had since he was highly touted. I believe everyone can change and improve including D'Antoni (like Tom Coughlin) so maybe he can adapt and get better.

You made valid points about questioning Nate's ability to play point guard, no question about that. I'm not gonna lie and say that I think Nate will be our future starting PG. Do I hope he can be it? Of course, I'll root for him to be it, but you can call me a skeptic, I just don't know if Nate can ever evolve from his "combo guard" label. That being said, Chris DuDonkey is so bad that he was hurting our team whenever he was in the game. We have to give Nate the oppurtunity, no question about it. I don't care if he fails completely at point, he needs the CHANCE because Chris DuDonkey is taking us NOWHERE. Even if Nate can't be a full time PG he's better than DuDonkey. It's not even close. If DuDonkey can ever reclaim his "confidence" I think he could be a competent BACKUP to a real starting PG (hopefully Nate, but we'll see). Anyways I'm just SO glad that DuDonkey is being benched.

This team, here is your two guards, Robinson and Hughes and Duhon needs to get his ass on the pine for March, Robinson was December, Hughes was January. If either are having a poor night, get Douglas or Duhon a shot, put Duhon has played his way on the bench about 3 months ago. D'Ant knows he is going to blow any chance of play offs now, because he had the team cooking and some chemistry, now they are flat and I am not sure the Vets are going to play too hard for this weirdo. I say we have blown 5-7 games with Duhon. Last night 17 minutes, 1 for 7, 2 Turnovers a big 2 points, which is about his average over the last 10. He will keep starting him, the announcers acted like it was a shocker they didn't start him the second half.
WHEW. Hughes is going to Washington or retire, his kids are starting school, the family can't travel as much. Not bad for 31, 12 years in the NBA, pulled in a 150 million?, I would walk. Robinson is not going to play for D'ant anymore, so next year is pure fantasy for everyone, including what salaries will be in this economy. Hughes is your best defender, always his best asset and 6 foot 5, he will pull some rebounds. His no look passes are some of the best in the league, but D'Ant never let's him get his game on, which is 2 games a week, 30 minutes. Let's see how loyal he stays to the Hound and Coach K or if it's time to dump Duhon and get that 8th spot.

I had almost given up on the season, until this coach finally woke up. I understand he is married to Duhon, but c'mon son! This team starts out basically playing 3 vs 5 every night because duhon and Jefferies are basically non threats offensively. Jefferies is playing hellafied defense, so he has to stay. Gallo has no pullup game yet, and struggles off the dribble. Needs another year or two to fix the only flaws in his offensive game. Which is why the Knicks need someone other than Duhon to play. He can't score in the paint, slow as hell, no athleticism, no hope. This man has to be the worst starting pg in Knicks history.

I don't care if Nate comes down and takes the seemingly mandatory 4 bad shots a quarter. I don't care if he no looks the ball in the stands. He will be a better pg on this team than Duhon has been. Simply because you have to defend him. They will have to play us much more honestly, quite honestly. Gallo will breath more for his set shots. Chandler will actually have a shooter to pass too when he attacks the middle. Lee is still gonna eat. he's too good not too, now.

If Nate plays with any type of control for most of the game, I could truly see him performing very, very well at pg. He does not have to be pure pg to be good at pg for us. But if he plays with half the awareness and control that Duhon does wonderfully possess, that will more than suffice, due to his offensive ability.

*sidenote* Lebron is wildin at pg for the Cavs. If he does come here, pg is where he will play. No reason to Move a Budding Chandler and Gallo from their spots, when Lebron can get his points and assist at pg. If he signs here, he will be the pg. This is the mismatch loving coach, and Lebron likes running the show. Good, potential, long lasting marriage.
