After I saw the aggressive and ruthless behavior of some of these posters I thought that I was living in Compton all over again.
Trade Deadline Moves Knicks need to make.

The Knicks needed a strong headcoach & assistant coach to utilize all the talents of Curry, Lee, Balkman/Chandler, and Nate, the moment Isiah Thomas was dismissed. Keeping Mark Aquire and making player Malik Rose into a training-coach would've provided the 5-players with the basic tools to become an aggresive-unit. And u build and add extra pieces from there (SG-Mayo was a must get player, using Jamal Crawford and 6th pick as bait).
Wilson Chandler supposed to be a 24 pt, 6 rbd, 4ast, 2 stl, 1 blk, 32 mpg player at the SF position this season.

I don't want Chandler as a primary guy in the paint, he only averages 15 ppg...not efficient enough for me.

We've seen far worst trades made in the NBA.
NBA GM's aren't geniuses so lets put a stop to that.

This is as realistic.
Metro I like your ideas of getting an all around lineup in here that provides offense, defense and rebounding but I doubt Chicago is going to trade some of those guys and trading Hill and Douglas would ONLY be to get rid of Jeffries and Curry.
Hill and Douglas are good players that have to play on this team at a consistent level. Mike D is ruining their chances. he will only give them playing time once the season is completely shot.
We just have to get rid of Jeffries this year and Curry next year.
We can def use Nate and/or David Lee in some trades if it means getting good players in return and getting rid of Jeffries.

1. please tell me one deal worst than this
2. True GM's arent "geniuses", but there has to be logic to their moves. Even in "bad trades" GMs can offer up a somewhat crediable explanation for the move, please provide any sort of explanation for why any team would want either of them, while giving up a young player who has been solid for them?
Lastly, by you stating "anything can happen" you are pretty much admitting that this is not a realistic move! That statement says it all there champ
Look recently I proposed some long shot deals, like Jared Jefferies and Douglas for Ridnour or Lee and Cuttino for Amare, those are "stranger things have happened" sort of trades. But those are justifiable moves for both teams, again just not likely to happen.
Any team taking on nearly 18 million dollars in salary next year -11 of which is from a player who has not played more than 15 games in the past two seasons combined- is the very example of unrealistic!
so again I challenge you to provide any real incentive for Chicago -a team looking to sign a MaX FA this summer- to take either of these deals on

Chicago needs to build around Derrick Rose, and David Lee is a perfect big man for Rose.
Chicago doesnt need to sign a max FA because they their franchise player in Rose. Their need for cap space isn't as serious as New York, therefor they can carry on Jefferies and Curry to have the luxury of Lee. Plus, Jefferies is a very serviceable defensive specialist.
Anything can happen.
Isiah Thomas is a prime example...and he's not the one horrible GM in the NBA.
This move benefits Chicago, and if you can't see the logic in that, you failed as a basketball analysis. Entirely.

OK.....so if Chicago wanted to use Lee as a piece to add to Rose why wouldnt they just wait until the Summer to sign him without having to take on Jefferies and Curry's contracts?
Plus, just because a team already has a franchise player doesnt mean that they are not going to try to be conservative with cap space! Miami is a prime example of this, having cap to spend plus a franchise player is the situation that every GM of a rebuilding team would like to be in. I mean wouldnt Chicago want a player like D Wade, Bosh or Joe Johnson instead of having Jefferies and Curry? Come on now!

This deal top to bottom does not make sense and would never even be discussed. Again if your logic on getting this trade done is simply that there are bad GM's out there, then that really says it all.
That's like going on a job interview and telling the interviewer you could get the job simply because companies make bad choices in who they hire all the time!

No one is going to trade for David Lee and be willing to give us anything worthwhile in return. He is an unrestricted free agent next year so any team who would acquire him is gambling that they are going to be able to re-sign him. The only teams that could or would do this are championship contenders with expiring contracts who think Lee will put them over the top this year. The Knicks aren't taking back a bunch of mediocre players with contracts beyond this year either.
Sadly the only thing we can do is wait and either:
resign Lee to a reasonable contract after the season
sign and trade for a star
let him walk for nothing
People are on Walsh to make moves but they don't realize that most of our expiring contracts are not worth much because we are unwilling to take back contracts that go beyond this year.

LOL,I think you are getting frustrated because you realize that your deal makes no sense and you can not support it!
you said that you did provide logic to this move but I dont see it , so explain to me again why Chicago would take on Curry and Jefferies just to get David Lee and Nate, when they could get them both this summer without taking on Curry and Jefferies contracts.
I also asked you to explain why they would give up Noah in such a deal....you didnt explain that.
Look the whole reason as to why we are trying to dump Curry and Jefferies is to be FA players this July, so even though they are not "five year contracts" it would take them out of the market for FAs next year and you can say that having Lee and Nate would be worth that to them?
