Michael Beasley

Yannis Koutroupis - 06/24/2010 3:07pm EST- Pat Riley is a very busy man as Chris Sheridan of ESPN.com explains. Riley has already shipped off the 18th pick and Daequan Cook and are now trying to negotiate a buyout with James Jones to free up another $2.8 million in cap space. He's also desperately trying to find a taker for Michael Beasley, but is having a hard time doing so. Riley has already put the HEAT in prime position to be major players this offseason with enough money to retain Wade, sign another max player, and add another player in the $10-11 million range.

Seems interesting, maybe the knicks can offer something good and cheap like bill walker...

why the hell do u want to help the heat

its going to happen miami and chicago(who just made a deal with washington to send hinrich and the 17th pick which gives them enough to sign 2 max free agents) are going to free up more cap space..the knicks should at least try and get something out of it....

I don't think Michael Beasley can be seen as "value for the dollar", He is the total opposite. EXPENSIVE CRAP

Wow.

Felton
Wade
Gay (11M longterm)
Beasley
Amare

Wow.

That said, I actually wish it made strategic sense for us to swoop in in Beaskey. Extremely young, extremely talented, for dirt cheap value (the cheddar asset; asset-wise)

With our target players and team dynamic it just doesn't make sense, unfortunately, especially since it could lead to:

Felton
Wade
X
Lee
Amare

Beasley is atrocious. Wade hates him because he's not only inconsistent with a questionable IQ, but he's also a crack head.

Would you still trade Walker for Beasley?

i know the dudes got problems with weed and has serious emotional problems but i still think the knicks could take a risk with this guy....there is a reason this guy was picked number 2 he has potential (flashes of it)..maybe he hasnt been able to get used to spoelstra's system. its just an idea....prob. a bad one but an idea
