Is Iggy the answer?

Iggy is a great defensive player that has been carrying his team sure he has two down games in a row but he is exactly what we need it wiuld bring fields to the bench where we would have more energy on the bench

felton
iggy
gallo
chandler
stat

he held pierce to 11 points

against miami he would have been great

what would it take to get him

i really dont see how much more we would get out of him versus chandler...it depends who we have to give up though..

if we could keep cahndler and gaalo and add him...maybe...

what do we have to offer philly.. if its curry contracts.. that takes us out of the melo sweepstakes

Chandler >>>> Iggy

exactly, and i think iggy has reached his peak. Chandler is what, 23? 24? people said he couldnt shoot, now he's shooting better. People said he wasnt aggressive, now look at him. They said his shot selection was horrible now look at him. Chandler blocks shots and plays better team defense than iggy. we cant spend money on that loser, he couldnt win with brand, dalembert, doesnt lead their new rookie because they play the same position, bringing iggy here would hinder fields progress as well. We all know how the isiah 'save face' thing went where he played they higher paid guys ove rthe more talented rookies.

* This starting 5 will beat 2/3 of the league, but it wont get us to the land of titles and championships.

Knicks need to get a true impact, defensive-mided center who can rebound and roam the paint. Toss in a viable backup PG. And round it out with a defensive specialist who can lock down wing players (SG/SF).

If Chandler, Fields and Gallo continue to blossom, mature and become consistent borderline all-stay type players.... The Knicks are golden.

However, the Knicks are at risk here. What if Chandler simply teases and never achieves true greatness? What if Gallo never puts the whole thing together?

One of them can be converted to the 6th man role, but would both be able to excel in a limited role?

So, do you replace Fields or Chandler with Iggy? I wouldn't. HIs offense doesn't fit well with this system.

I could replace Gallo with Melo, b/c Carmelo is a game-changer. I really want Gallo to become a star with us.... BUt would it be wise to pass on Melo?

If we get Melo, what Gallo ever become much of anything?

Chandler is the more complete player. BUt I worry about him being the 4th option. He's bests uited for the PF in D'ant's system, but would Felton-Fields-Melo-Chandler-Amar'e be title-worthy?

Understand that we need a centre, Amare will not play centre for any lengthy period of time, and he said before he signed that he doesnt like playing centre. As a leader, Amare will do what it takes, but that doesnt mean its his comfort zone. We are not getting marc gasol, camby wants to stay in portland or he's retireing, tyson chandler is playin badly and is a shadow of the NOH Tyson Chandler. our best options at the 5 would be

Javale Mcgee
Samuel Dalembert

Both compliment the melo addition.
mcgee more than sammy because of his youth and potential.

if we semi gut for melo, get mcgee on a steal, if we can hold of to azubuike and he gets healthy, we can trade him for a first rounder i say the knicks win a title in 2012
