It's been more than 10 years
more than a few tears

Since Patrick Ewing

We kept thinking... what are you doing?

For the most payroll, this was an embarrasing club

coach after coach, all they did was flub

And although we know nothing is a guarantee

what we know is there's no winning with Harrington and Lee

In a team sport- there's no individual blame

bad move after move drove the fans insane


we saw poor trades, and bad draft selections

but alas, the last two years, we've moved in the right direction

we got a new coach, and team president Walsh

and proved instant gratification in NY was false

we've waited and waited and just maybe

the stars aligned with Tracy McGrady

he isn't a savior, just a stop gap

but NY will have the most money this summer, no one tops that

this summer with Lebron, Bosh, and Wade

the Knicks are hoping for their own parade

and just as the finish line is in sight

Mr.Walsh waits, like a Tiger in the night

he ridded us of Zach, Rome, Marbs, and Nate

his dumb move Hill actually might work in our fave

yup that's right, the Knicks are back

the embodiment of New York, they got off the mat

it's been 10 years of tears but it's a new day

and now you owe us arrears, and the league must pay!

If we get T-mac and it turns out he isn't finished then hey we can go 500.

HOWEVER, when i watched him last year on the rocekts he sure looked like a player that could no longer get elevation on his jumper..

honestly, he hasn't played in a year. The rockets didn't even play him after he came back. I have to think he's basically done. Therefore I don't expect any improvement for this season.
I just wanted to see what others think.

Excellent thread, you have quite a talent there.It would be cool if more Knick fans appreciated such a wonderful poem.

Since we lost to the Nets in the playoffs we have been a Zero.

that's a great poem. i lost hope during the years after ewing but things are finally picking up again, let's hope for the best

Nice finish on the poem, but I doubt this Knicks team will scrape past 0.410. I'd really like to see 0.500 -- that means Playoffs and no Top-10 pick for the Jazz. (Yes, I believe irony will strike the Knicks during the draft.)
