The timing was all wrong for the JR.Smith signing....for several days we
had NBA analyst (NBATV, ESPN, Fan, ect.) mentioning negative factors about
the return of Melo is going to stop the Lin-ball movement. While NBA analyst
were all trying to get private interviews with Melo on how his return from injury
will benefit the Knicks lineup, our dum-dum interim GM Grunwald announce the
signing of a shoot-first SG-JR.Smith who PG skills is worst than Toney Douglas....
The outcome of the negative Melo interviews, and the signing of SG-JR.Smith
had a lot to do with why the wide talk of the new energy "LinSanity" Knicks
ended their amazing 7 game
win streak at home (MSG) to a sold-out crowd
to one of the NBA top-3 losing teams the 6-23 Lottery Hornets.
Why PG-Bibby or PG-Douglas didnt receive any playingtime in the Knicks vs Hornets
game to backup a 41 minute Jeremy Lin? did they get the "Lamar Odom fever"
in practice that mourning at the announcing of JR Smith? or did headcoach
Dantoni forget this was a 3rd game in 4 days for a 2nd season PG-Jeremy Lin
who is not veteran PG-Steve Nash who has the ability to perform at top speed
for 41 minutes on his 2nd wind?
It does not matter how many decent healthy players the Knicks have on their
roster, the Knicks are still stuck with a headcoach Dantoni who career has
showed repeatedly he cant coach more than 7 players in his rotation....and 5
of those 7 players must be team-oriented complimentary players on offense
or defense to have any kind of success. Mike Dantoni has showed repeatedly
for 4 seasons to be the worst substitution headcoach in Knicks history.
What do u really know about J.R. Smith? on the Hornets with Baron Davis/CP3
under headcoach Byron Scott? or on the Bulls under headcoach Skiles? or on
the Nuggets with PG-Miller/PG-AI/or PG-Billups under headcoach Karl?
