gs/ny

Biedrins for Lee & Duhon

9 mil until 2013, good news, his salary doesn't increase. lee wants 9 mil and duhon expires. gs needs a backup pg and can make a playoff push with lee while they wait for anthony randolph to develop.
knicks get a center they need that can put up crazy rebounding numbers, score points and block shots.

or maybe

chandler, curry & jefferies for anthony randolph & radmonovic

or

lee for haslem straight up

haslem is better than lee

or

lee, n8, jefferies for roy hibbert & travis deiner

lee, n8, curry for troy murphy & brandon rush

I Don't know why golden state would add more guards to their log jam unless the plan would be to cut Duhon the day he was traded. Biedrins is also better than Lee in every way....i don't see why they would do that. If anything their most venomous contract is the one they gave to Corey Magette.

Eh i wouldn't do haslem for lee. I also would not do Lee for Carlos Boozer as they are players with similar games.

The trade i like is the troy murphy one.

Troy Murphy is better than David Lee for this offense...tho it actually helps Indiana A LOT more....but at least we are getting rid of curry.

If we trade Curry, odds are we'll have to throw some expiring contracts in there as well. Cuttino Mobley's contract is our ace in the hole, it's 80% insured.

Curry + Mobley's contract for...somebody, anybody. Honestly at this point as long as we dump Curry I'm good. I doubt we can dump Jeffries...freaking Isiah signing him to the mid-level MLE, what a chump...

add duhon because he is a backup pg. comfortable being a backup. they need him. monte is playing 48 mins. duhon also expires as well as lee, so they can negotiate. other than that, its wishful thinking.

haslem for lee is a financial move to get mia out of the lebron race, or the bosh race...give them the headache of giving lee his big contract.

Golden State will never trade any of their young guys for our bums.

Biedrins? Come on the guy is a young ahtletic rebounding center who can block a shot and has a steady 9 mil salary, he is a perfect investment, they are never trading him for whatever you offered.

Randolph would be good in NY but we would have to give up a Lee or Robinson, maybe even a young guy in Douglas or Hill for him with it.

Teams are going to ask too much of us because each player on our team has 0 value.

we have young prospects at the 5,4,3 and 1 and a half(doug).

we really need a sg and a pg.my ideal would be rudy, and i wouldn't hesitate to deal both lee and nate for him.its all about selling high witht those guys.we know what they're capable of.

now that oden seems to be coming around, i think that both lee and nate would greatly solidify that team.

oden/pryz
aldrigde/lee
batum/outlaw
roy/webster
blake/miller/nate

having a young core of hill gallo chandler fernandez doug would be awesome.fernandez has pg skills so it would offset alot of doug pg lack of traditional pg skills.

if we where going to into the off season with that five, i'd be thrilled.i'd even try to make moves to try to acquire a lotto pick depending if we end up with james or wade.

Fernandez-Douglas-Chandler would make for a nice defense on the other team's PG-SG-SF. And if Hill could do his thing, and toss in a Lebron.... That's a defensive team to build around!

I was under the impression that NY is trying to make that very trade with Houston for TM. From what I understand, the sticking point is the 3rd player that Houston wants. The Knicks want to keep Mobley's contract if they have to include a player like Chandler or no 3rd player if the Knicks give Houston Mobley's insured contract.

Trade #1
3 team trade - shit for shit for shit

Knicks trades: Eddy Curry, Jared Jefferies, Cuttino Mobley, 2010 2nd round pick(Clippers)
Charlotte trades: D. Diop, Nazr Mohammed
Minnesota trades: Brian Cardinal, Mark Blount, Damien Wilkins

Knicks gets: Diop + Brian Cardinal + Mark Blount + Damien Wilkins.
Diop still has 2 years on his contract after 2010 at 6.5 mil/year.
Cardinal, Blount and Wilkins expire after this season.

Charlotte gets: Eddy Curry

Minnesota gets: Jared Jefferies, Nazr Mohammed, Cuttino Mobley + 2010 2nd round pick (Clippers)

Trade #2
(When David Lee could be traded after 12/15)

Knicks trade David Lee to Milwaukee for Kurt Thomas + Joe Alexander + protected 1st round pick similar to the one we Phoenix in the Marbury trade. Top 20 protected for the next 5 years then unprotected in like 2015.

Trade #3
3 team trade:

Knicks trade: Wilson Chandler, Larry Hughes, Al Harrington
Rockets trade: Tracy McGrady, 2010 1st round pick (lottery protected)
Grizzlies trade: 2010 1st round pick(Lakers), 2010 1st round pick(nuggets)

Knicks get: Tracy Mcgrady, 2010 1st round pick (rockets), 1st round pick (nuggets or lakers, worse of the 2)
Rockets get: Al Harrington, Larry Hughes, 1st round pick (nuggets or lakers, better of the 2)
Grizzlies get: Wilson Chandler

Lee & Chandler for Rudy and Travis Outlaw.

Sign either J Smooth or Lebron or Johnson or Wade or Bosh (all wishful thinking IMO) I still think Wade is most likely.

Darko, Puhon, Jefferies for Haywood, Mike James, Mike Miller, Fabricio Oberto.

5 and bench:

5 - Haywood - Curry. Haywood can board and block shots.
4 - Harrington - Hill
3 - Outlaw - J Smooth - James - Gallo
2 - Rudy - Miller
1 - Rodriguez - Toney D

5- Better rebounding and blocking in Haywood.

4 - Questionable 4

3 - Potentially stacked at the 3

2 - Nice SG rotation. Gotta query Miller...He's a bit of a lesbo.

1 - Add the other half the Spanish Armada, rotate evenly between Sergio and Toney D. Mike James has got some D on him and can shoot too.

Looks pretty good to me. If things crumble, Curry's off the pay sheet next year and opens an $11m flood gate to pursue CP3 hopefully.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It's all highly unlikely. Especially the Washington trade. But it works out financially and makes us instantly better with enough cap space to sign a MC free agent.

Playoff team for sure.

nate and jeffires to l.a. for farmar pornstache, and a first round pick.i think both nate and lee could contribute to a championship team.i like that thomas deal, so lee for outlaw and a first round pick.we need picks and under achieving young players to evaluate them.maybe they'll become studs here.

i'd also be willing to move both gallo and hill for the right player..

David Lee & N8 to POR for Rudy Fernandez, A-Miller, and Batum/Outlaw/Cunningham.

* With Oden out, POR needs to do something. They wont panic, b/c Oden was actually impeding their offense this year. They liked Lee in the past, and he would rebound and play the pick-n-roll well w/ Roy. B-Roy played college hoops w/ N8 (and POR is close to N8's home). Unless we can get the LAL to give us Farmar or Powell, then this might be the only other option for Robinson. We only accept this deal if we know we're dumping JJ elsewhere.... KNICKS also get Rudy and a player to step in for Wilson Chandler in a Batum/Outlaw/Cunningham.

THEN

Al Harrington & Jeffries to CHI for Tyrus Thomas and a 1st round pick.

* Heck, maybe this is even a 3-way deal with POR (where the Trailblazers send Kirk Hinrich to POR and CHI gets Outlaw, while Knicks get Cunningham/Batum).

Finally,

Curry and Chandler to HOU for Mcgrady.

* HOU probably doesn't want to absorb Curry's 2010 committment, and WC might be overkill since they have Ariza. BUT, if Curry does return and play maybe a team like DAL or CHA would bite. IF NOT, then try to package Chandler to MIN for the rights to Rubio.

How about:

Miller
Fernandez
James
Gallo
Thomas

With Douglas, Hill, Landry, Batum/Cunningham, 2 draft picks this year.

Not a bad 2010 roster? (Especially with Rubio coming in 2011).

Primary and most important move is to get under the cap.

1. Dropping Jefferies and Curry, with value

In this trade, the value is Al Harrington, 20 ppg scoring machine with an expiring contract.

What team has a load of expiring contracts that can match the contracts of Jefferies, Curry and Harrington put together?
New Jersey Nets.

Nets desperately need a 3rd scorer especially on the wing to help out Lopez and Harris...Harrington would complete that team and actually turn things around for them. Nets don't need salary cap as bad because they're not a big market and will probably look to build more around their pieces in 2011'. Nets have a tight core five in Harris/Lee/Williams/Yi/Lopez...as these 5 develop, the Nets will improve. Nets aren't going to compete in the 2010 sweepstakes, so their best bet is to try to get a guy who can help make game easier and take the pressure off the young guys.

Harrington is a young vet with a lot of experience and a New Jersey guy.
