Julius Randle: The New York Darling!

In a lot of ways, I feel sorry for Randle. I always said that was asked to do something he wasn't built for as a player. Maybe Perry, Mills and Craig Robinson blew smoke up his butt to believe he could be the "The New York Darling'. To his credit he played his heart out to try to carry the Knicks to a championship. That was never in the cards for him or the Knicks. He was miss cast as a number #1 option when at best he was a #2 option.
Seeing Julius along with his son always said the same thing 'Get out of New York' and quick. Maybe he saw this as just business and there aren't any hard feelings. I for one don't think so because of what he put into the team and pulled out of himself.
After getting hurt last season the handwriting was on the wall to trade him. I didn't see it because I never thought the Knicks could make a trade for someone like KAT. Of course, there was the making Brunson team Captain which was a slap in the face to Randle. That was not a good move for team and Knicks will have problem with that issue.
Let hope that Julius Randle in Minny can find the glory days he had with the Pelicans.

Any Ole b.ball fan that watched 6.6 Randle perform in Kentucky, knew Randle would be a Anthony Mason beast at the SF position in the NBA. The Tanking Lakers drafted Randle in 2014, during the time the Lakers were doing lots of management/head coaching.changes.
The Lakers put Randle at the PF position throughout his 4 yr rookie contract. A bad move for Randle young talent.
The Knicks HC Fizdale put Randle on the right performance path as the Knicks point-forward.
And we had coach Miller, Woodson, and Tibbs to push Randle's consistent performance into becoming an All-Star player.

Dark .. I believe Dolan hired Phil Jackson to get Carmelo Anthony to resign.
Phil & Melo text told us what Phil thought of Melo talent.
And Phil got fired and Melo got traded in offseason, which made KP sit out the season playing no games for the Knicks, until he was traded to the Mavs in Feb..

The only reason I accepted the OG trade, because OG's hustle talent mixed with Randle's bully-ball talent together in a lineup, the two forwards would take over the East having a closer-Brunson & Big-Mitch.

On Sunday Oct. 13th @ 6 pm the Randle Wolves vs KAT Knicks preseason game will be the game to watch for every Knicks fans on how both teams offense/defense were hurt by the trade .. No winners!

On Fri Oct. 18 @ 8 pm the Wolves vs Nuggets preseason game will be the game to watch.

I started to speak about Randle time at Kentuckey, Lakers and Pelicans. But I didn't.
Ok, can you imagine being the #1 pick by the Lakers with Koby on that team. Julius had died and went to heaven. From what I understand Randle and Koby got along very well. He broke his leg in his rookie year, I think. Then the shakeup within the Lakers organization started. Lebron James is coming and there no need for two 6'8" small forwards. Randle is trade to the Pelican. Can you again imagine how he felt. I was going to take Koby place and be the Lakers Superstar. Not in the cards for you Julius Randle.

On to the Pelican where he is on a team with A.D. and D. Cousins. The assistant Coach is Finch I believe. He is credit by Randle for turning his game around. Randle has a very good year playing with A.D. and Cousins. This should have shown Julius that he would never be a #1 option and at best #2. His success with the Pelicans was a nightmare for the Knicks.

Now you have Perry, Mills and C. Robinson scrambling for a solution for the mess they just took the Knicks thru.... Tanking in the 1st year that the league changed the rule to prevent teams from tanking. But nevertheless the Brain Trust of the Knicks did it anyway.

We get no #1 overall pick and we don't get K.D. or K.I. NOW, What do you do??

BTW, Pelicans draft Zion and Julius Randle is again displaced by someone coming from the outside. Again, the question 'How do you think Julius felt'?

Julius strikes it rich with a F.A. signing to the Knicks. So he couldn't be a Lakers so what better place to be than New York city. Now I can showcase my talent show the world that I'm just good or better than Lebron James.
**Lebron and Randle have never played against each other I think... could be wrong. Everytime there is meeting Lebron is hurt.

Kiya, why would Dolan hire Phil to get Anthony to resign. Don't you think Phil and Gaines would had a serious discussion about Melo lost of Athletic abilities. Why resign Melo?? He was not Transformative. He could not move the Needle.
If you watch Melo he was a shield of the ballplayer that he was. He had no hops and no explosiveness.

So why would you want him??
Phil tried to smooth it over by telling Melo he should go to team that can win a championship.

OG is like night and day compared to RJ. Never knew what anybody saw in him as a player.
