Late Game Thread Knicks vs Grizz # 47

This was not the above .500 (30-16) Grizz team I been watching the first half of the season.
They had no Grit!
The little I seen of our rookie Hukporti's performance against NBA talent, he maybe a little better than Grizz rookie Zach Edey.
However, rookie Zach Edey have been improving his skills as an above 20 minute NBA starter throughout 32 games the first half of the season.
From garbage time .. Rookie Hukporti average 7 minutes in 15-games out of the Knicks 47 games this season.
Having a 18 pt lead at the end of 3, as a HC, I would have started my rookie center against my opponents rookie center in the 4th quarter. That's me.

although we all disagree with the lack of minutes bench players get and how we think the starters have too many minutes.......THIBS is not changing his ways.
I think Robinson would be great trade bait to solidify a stronger bench but what's the difference if Thibs won't play them.

Wsup Ski .... Tibbs not changing his ways .. is why the majority of NBA teams did not look to hire Tibbs after the Wolves incident.
The reason why Leon Rose hired both Tibbs, and ex-Knicks HC Mike Woodson the same day. Great move, two ex-head-coaches won the COY award in 2020-21.
Tibbs without an NBA veteran HC as a top assistant to make adjustments in the players rotation/substitution having a completely different roster of players from last season.
I'm Skeptic?
After the Knicks injury-prone season in 2021-22 season, then 2023-24 season.
I'm sure fans don't want an injury-prone mid-season like last year, or injury-prone postseason in the 2024-25 season.
Tibbs 40-minute Knicks Starter Team rotation have to stop.
It's the midseason, and our rotation will need 5 bench-players on the same-page in the rotation, before the postseason.
Mitch Robinson haven't participated in a full team practice all season (47 games).
Knicks are gonna be force to trade one of the top-3 NBA centers for just $13M
This time last season when the Knicks were on a 14-2 run in January, on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, announcers, and sport-writers everyone was cheering Hartenstein dynamic performance, plus putting up Trade Mitch Robinson post every day, then stopped immediately when OG & Mitch came back to play in the Knicks playoff series vs the Philly 76ers .. 2-0 Knicks leading series.

Agreed. And it's not only Hukporti, you could use Sims for vertical spacing as well. He did well at the beginning of the year. If the team is injured in the playoffs this year again, Thibs might find himself in a Casey situation, actually delivering a good regular season, only to be fired regardless. It's such a shame, the schemes we implemented look great, you could ease in the bench as well, although neither Hukporti nor sims can mimic KAT. But neither could Robinson.
