How are the 2024-25 Knicks new starter 5 lineup working out?

The Top 6 NBA Teams a week before 40 games into the season:

1) The 33-4 record Cleveland Cavs 33 wins before playing 40 games is Outstanding B.ball.
The Cavs only losses were to the Celtics, Miami Heats (having Butler), and the Atlanta Hawks.

2) The 31-6 record OKC Thunders 31 wins before playing 40 games are also Outstanding B.ball.
The missing Thunders star Chet Holmgren are 2 or 3 weeks away from returning to action will improve the Thunders impact during the midseason games.

3) The 27-11 record Boston Celtics have been holding tightly to defending their championship throughout their 38 games by winning 27 games.

4) The 25-12 record Houston Rockets have surprised all their 39 opponents in the 2024-25 season.
The Rockets young 10 man rotation have been dynamic at winning games throughout the season.
One missing piece for Rockets to get for a postseason rotation .. A Big-man (Jericho Sims or MitchRob)

5) The 26-14 record Memphis Grizzlies Super-Star & Player/Coach Ja Morrant, have 12 Grizz players on a high level of B.ball during the 2024-25 season. Holding above .600 record season in Nov. & Dec. having a 10 or 11 player rotation each game. The Grizz coaching-staff been developing above 11 players on their roster with consistent playing time minutes in the game-rotation since start of regular season.


6) The 25-14 record My Knicks got a super scoring starter 5 lineup. That's it.
What games I did watch in the Knicks 29 games played (first half of the season) ..
Poor team development, favoritism coaching, selfish-substitution, selfish playing-time, and a under-develope rotation by trying to fit 8 players into a lineup, not a rotation throughout the 39 games.
And our Knicks coaching-staff have been working well with only the Knicks starter 5 players, plus McBride.
Inconsistent Payne. PG
Inconsistent Shamet. SG
Inconsistent Sims. Center/F
Inconsistent Precious. PF

Maybe our Game Plan when Tibbs (or Captain) put Josh Hart in the Starter lineup, than maybe Mikal should have been coming off the bench alongside Deuce & Payne or Kolec for scoring off the bench in a game rotation.
Plus to rest Brunson for 16 or 20 minutes each game, to sit next to Hart resting for 16 or 20 minutes.
We don't have no twin-tower Plan with KAT yet, or any of our other Bigs on the roster.

What we have not had in our lineups and game-rotation in any of our Knicks 40 games played:
KAT and Sims as tandem twin-towers.
Precious and Hukporti as tandem rim protectors.
Deuce and Kolec as backcourt tandem guards.
Deuce and Payne and Dadiet trio backcourt lineup.
Deuce, Payne, Kolec, Precious, and Hukporti (All) bench-lineup.
We have been the 40 Minute Knicks team for 40 games!

The difference between the 40 Minute Knicks Team and the Cavs/OKC/Celtics/Rocs/Grizz are all those winning teams have 9 or more players receiving 15 or more minutes of playing-time in each game played throughout the first half of the season.

The 40 Minute Knicks up and down performance is not gonna improve.
Until the Knicks coaching staff add an all Knicks bench-lineup to the Knicks game rotation.
Plus give 9, maybe 10 Knicks players 14 or more minutes of playing time in the game rotation the next 10 Knicks games.
And No more 36 to 48 minutes of playing time a game for any Knicks player!
Our coaching-staff waisted 40 games preparing only 6 Knicks players how to co-exist in a lineup.
The 40 Minute Knicks team never establish a rotation this season, by only giving 3 bench players playing time each game.
We give Deuce 22 minutes
We give Precious 12 minutes
We give Payne 10 minutes
We give the 5 Knicks starters the rest of the minutes to become The 40 Minute Knicks Team !!!

PG Derrick Rose was banned from Knicks practice throughout his final season with the Knicks. Fournier too.
Hartenstein mentioning the most minute played players not practicing explain why the Knicks only had individual-scoring, and no ball movement in HC Thibs offense the past four seasons.

Brunson average 8 shot attempts a game as Dallas Mavs for 4 straight seasons.
When Brunson became a Knicks in Tibbs no offense strategy offense, Brunson average 18 shot attempts, and 5 assist per game in his first as a Knicks season.
PG-Brunson's 2nd season as a Knicks averaged 22 shot attempts, and 6 assist per game.
That became a Red Flag for several Knicks teammates ....
Yes, several Knicks teammates asked to be traded on the down-low.
Mitch Robinson was the 2nd to ask to be traded after Obi Toppin.
Quickley asked to be traded by refusing the extension.
Grimes wanted out when the 3 Nova players only looked out for each other.
Hartenstein talent level was to great to stay on as a Knicks.

Tom Thibs are coaching the SAME WAY he coached the season the Bulls Fired him.

Hartenstein didn't leave the Knicks for the money, IHart left to play on the next level above the Knicks.
Contender level of b.ball throughout the 82 game regular season.
Today, Hartenstein is a (winning) 28 minute double-double rim protector (F/C) bigman, and great team-player.
Something Tibbs coaching style would not allow Hartenstein to become in the two seasons as a Knicks.

Pat Riley did a multi-team trades to send Butler to the GS Warriors for Wiggins and ......
Curry/Butler/Green .. all they need now is Mitch Robinson.

Bucks trade Middleton for Wizards Kuzma

Raptors trade Bruce Brown & Olynyk for Pelicans Ingram

Kings trade Fox to Spurs in a 3 team trade to get Zack LaVine from the Bulls.
The Kings also traded for Wizards center Valanciunas from Wizards

Mavs traded Grimes to 76ers for Martin.
 
Got to give to management. No stupid or desperate moves.
Lets just hope Robinson can be healthy and how Thibs decides to use him.

When SF OG Anunoby return from injury, will center Hukporti be taken out of the rotation?
We were missing a center (rim-protector) throughout the first half of the season in the rotation. Playing Sims 2 minute garbage time as 40 minutes KAT backup the first half of the season was torcher. When in a lot of games KAT needed Sims in the lineup with him.

This isn’t the case: Have no earthly idea why they would trade Sims. None whatsoever!! If you notice the number one NEED for this season is a center. You have Sims and Hukporti why was this the number need? With MRob coming back. That 3 center.

Detroit trade James Wiseman last night or Thursday night. That a former #2 overall pick. Someone who should have been on the Knicks radar along with Jaden Ivey (recovering from broken leg). If you needed a center then Wiseman was your player.

Yes, the Knicks defense is suspect against good teams and bad teams, and need fixing.
The Jericho Sims trade was 95% personal, the same as Sims playing time minutes.
The last game Sims got playing time in was when Sims screen & picks helped Payne score 18 points in 7 minutes.
After that, Tibbs never gave Sims any more playing time. Plus look at who they traded Sims for.

As for stubborn Tibbs-Knicks adding young players like Wiseman & Ivey to sit on the Knicks bench an entire season to wish on teammate catching an injury to get playing time, com'on.
Plus the Knicks organization have the worst program for young-players, and BIG men.
Our coaching staff are hoping Mitch Robinson return will fix all our defensive problems like us fans lol
Plus we played over 50 games, and our coaching staff still have no plans of developing an all bench lineup for depth in the postseason games.
Stubborn Tibbs got Brunson & Hart calling all the shots on the court, while Tibbs scream on the side line for certain players to get back on defense. It's a show.

Do we need BIG men? H... yeah!
Do we need 18 to 24 minutes of Hukporti when MitchRob return? H... yeah!

In June when the Knicks drafted the hot playmaker from Marquette Tyler Kolec with the 34th pick, I was happy as a dog with a full bowl of food.
I was thinking Brunson, Deuce, and Kolec as our point, and combo-guard in the rotation.
When we signed tier-2 veteran guards Cam Payne & Shamet, and put them in the Knicks game rotation, because they played alongside of Mikal on his previous team I cried no no no. Payne & Shamet talent/skills level are so low it makes ex-Knicks players Divo, Grimes, Barrett, and Quickley a tier 1 top level NBA guard.
Every time Payne & Shamet inconsistent performance get on the court I'm reminded of the Knicks going 3 to 4 steps backward in the offseason.
Our Knicks 36-18 record are from how WEAK the NBA have become with every NBA team shooting 40 3-ball shots a game plus playing 48 minutes of small-ball b.ball.
This season the East have two contender teams Celtics & Cavs, and the West have two contender teams Thunder & Mavs (Only 4 contender teams).
I recall, when the NBA always had 8 to 10 contender teams each season to challenge the Bad Boys Pistons, and then the Mike & Pippin Bulls team.
Yes' the Ewing, Starks, and Anthony Mason Knicks were contenders, the Ewing, Camby, and Sprewell Knicks were a Championship team.

Last year Knicks were stronger, and a better winner than this season Knicks.
Our 2-Guard of Divo & Grimes or Burks were game winners.
Our dynamic centers MitchRob & Hartenstein made us championship caliber team.
Our duo forwards of PF-Randle & SF-OG also made us a championship contender team.
Plus having one of the top 5 scoring-closers in the NBA last season in Brunson for crunch time wins gave us the edge over all the teams in the EAST (even Boston).
Plus this season the Knicks are far from being close to the level of b.ball the Celtics/Cavs/Bucks are on.
We invested 2 or more seasons into the Knicks 6 rotation players mention and they are gone because HC Tibbs is an A-Hole!!!
The majority of Knicks rotation called it quits on coach Tibbs after the 2-4 playoff series loss against the Miami Heat. A lot of teammates agreed with Obi Toppin screaming on Tibbs after loss of the 6th Game, and series.
After the 1-4 Knicks sweep over the Cavs coach Tibbs change the Knicks starter lineup for the 2nd round series vs the Miami Heat .. by putting Josh Hart in the starter lineup to replace Grimes over 6th man Quickley, plus playing Hart close to 40 minutes each game of the series while Quickley & Toppin receive 9 or 10 minutes per game for a easy 2-4 Heats series playoff win.
No more 1-Mitch, 2-IHart, 3-Randle, 4-Barrett, 5-Quickley, 6-Grimes ....
Six Knicks rotation players didn't like Tibbs move and are gone now.
I still don't like Josh Hart in the starter lineup, off the bench Hart's a role winning-player.
