Knicks had 28 points in the first 8 and a half minutes of the game, then had 29 points the rest of the first half....

The second unit was pretty bad, and for some reason despite their futility Hornachek stuck with them deep into the second quarter.

By the time the starters were fully integrated back in the game they were out of sorts.

NYK missed about 8 free throws. An 18 point lead whittled down to 9.

Lee, Noah, KOQ, KP had nice first half performances.

I'm not saying Melo is fouled on every possession, but no other star in the league gets treated like Melo on his home court. Not since Shaq.

There's contact every time Melo touches the ball in the post and he rarely gets sent to the FT line. This is one of the reasons why this is a guard league.... Hardin and Westbrook seem to get 12-15 FTs a game.... slightest contact when they drive and they get 2 shots.

Melo was actively working in the post vs younger players, on his home floor, and drawing contact. Sure, he initiates the contact more than not, but when a G drives into a big a foul is usually called.

Lee was shot out of a cannon early and was looking like a real SG.

KP making his impact.

Knicks didn't make a lot of unforced errors, like in CLE. They played solid defense and moved the ball some. They were making shots early....

Better overall play on both sides of the ball. They held the Griz big 3 of Gasol, ZBo and Conley to 5-20 shooting and shot 53% from the field taking a 57-49 lead at the half. KP leading the team in pts and RBs and CLee was more aggressive looking for and making his shot scoring 12 pts.

Lead was as much as 16 pts but Griz cut it to 8 to close the half. Still an ongoing effort to develop chemistry and consistency, we need a W tonight.

Yeah, Green's left hand on the rim while the ball was in the cylinder and his right hand talping it in. To be honest, if you can't see that you shouldn't be officiating an NBA game.

In the first half, Mem hit a cutter in the lane.... he first touches it above FT line, bobbles ball, finally collects it near rim and makes layup.... he took 4 steps. A blatant violation.

Rose is ten times better than Calderon was for us last year.

Knicks defense and energy has been poor second half of this third quarter. Horny's sub patter not helping.... NYK should be up 25.... game is 80-77 instead. Only a matter of time until MEM pulls away to win this game.

Horny sticking with this second unit again.... there's no offense at all from this group. Even getting a shot off is a struggle. How this coach is sitting Rose and Melo at the same time, and for these long stretches.... probably costs us the game. MEM about to tie and with Melo and Rose cold and on ice, odds are they won't hit enough shots to bring home the win tonight.
